Today I have a fantastic guest Mr Justin Chancellor of TOOL and MTVoid.
Justin joined TOOL back in 1995 and has been killing it ever since.
It was an honor to sit down and dive deep into his career including
his early days playing music, his audition for TOOL, Farm Living and AC/DC.
Justin has a brand new record coming out Nov 10th with his MTVoid project.
MTVoid is a musical project by Justin Chancellor and Peter Mohamed. The two first met at a festival in Germany in 2002. Justin was touring with Tool, and Peter was a member of the Polish band “Sweet Noise“.

Justin sounds like a really good bloke who made it through eight years of boarding school which is no easy feat. His music outside of Tool I look forward to hearing and getting some vinyl and associated artwork posters as well! Cheers on the #LTBT Podcasts Dean 👍

nothing beats a P bass for the mix and recording. It just thumps and doesnt get in the way. Amazing how the old guitars were so spot on when they invented them!

as a jazz bass fiend i wholeheartedly disagree roll off tone to 0% and bridge pickup to 15% and you get a precision sound on jb (not exactly the same, but so close only you can hear it, others cant even discern bass notes lol) tried them both, P is awesome, but i'll take my J to a gig 100%

Spotlights (Mario, Sarah & Chris) is from New York & their not industrial they play alternate metal/ almost like some doom or progressive sludge to it too, like IsisBand very shoegazy/microwavy etc etc I’ve seen them live twice, they are amazing, unless there is another band called that, and I really wish interviewers would ask Tool members when they get the rare chance to speak to them, is when is Fear Inoculum getting music videos bc we haven’t had one since 10,000 Days (Vicarious) & the pot never came out, I know they did Opiate2 but it’s not technically a new song, WE NEED SOME VIDEOS FOR FEAR INOCULUM but I digress #toolarmy 4 life 🤘😎🤘
