This is why I always keep raws of my older pictures; I always find a picture I like after going through my older pictures which I would not have liked at the time.

I do the same, and when you can't go out to shoot for different reasons it is always good to dive back on this older pictures with a fresh eye to try giving them a new spin

I totally agree with letting your photos “breath.” I’ve come back from so many shoots feeling disappointed. I’ve similarly found that giving your photos some time, especially if it was a disappointing shoot, does help later on when going through them and finding ones you like!

Hi Adrien, at 4:48 i noticed that your lcd screen has this bracket like shape in the middle that helps you determine if the photo is levelled? May i ask what is that called and how do i turn it on please? Thank you!

if you press the upper button of the central dial you can change the display of your lcd. One of them is this level thing ;)

I was wondering what city you were shooting in then you showed the Genbaku Dome. Hiroshima is such a great city. Nice shots too. I like your edits and use of light. I feel that what I do in the streets is quite similar.

It seems like people just walk by without trying to confront you. Is it because you just really inconspicuous or people in Japan generally just chill about people taking their photos in the street? I found it really hard to push my self to take picture in the street because I am afraid of people confront me because of that.

he is a gaijin (white guy) walking around in Tokyo and surrounding areas so i'm sure Japanese folks just assume him to be a tourist taking tourist pictures of the surroundings and not of them (the Japanese people) which is why it is much easier to get by with this type of street photography when you do not look like a local because of the aforementioned reasoning.

because in reality, Japan and almost all of East Asian countries actually have many LAWS regarding taking and publishing photographs/videos of people in public (ie it is ILLEGAL). if any of these folks captured in Adrien's shots were serious enough and found themselves in Adrien's videos and photography, they can 110% take legal action against Adrien. But the odds of these specific folks stumbling across Adrien's work are slim to none unless Adrien somehow overnight turns into the most well renowned street photographer of the WORLD and got his work published in TIME magazine or something (which no offense to Adrien, 99.99999999% will not happen). So yeah, Adrien is 99.999999999% safe for publishing these "illegal" shots of Japanese citizens.
