The old bird missile does 30 damage if it hits you, it does 30 damage if it hits the wall next to you. You said it doesn't have an instant kill besides getting stepped on(12:04), but if the missile hits the floor under you and you are on the ground, it instantly kills you. You can avoid this by jumping though.

It's interesting how split opinions are on the monsters in this game. Baboon Hawks and Giants are probably my most hated outside enemies, meanwhile I can't remember the last time I felt threatened by a dog or a worm. Thumpers are extremely annoying for me since unlike Spiders they are extremely hard to evade and usually force you into combat if you ever want to search their side of the facility in peace. I pretty much agree with the rest of the list, although I would place Bracken a little higher. His AI is smart enough + the fact you have to always play the game as if he's right behind you because you can never know for sure unless someone on comms confirms it makes him a royal pain in the ass for me. Nice List :P

i actually agree with your old bird placement, sometimes i actually release old birds on artifice to kill monster and make it easier for us. Another thing about them, if they are targeting something already, say a dog, they WILL NOT switch targets unless they lose it or kill it, so you can just slip right past them while they are distracted for free. Sidenote, i also think nutcrackers are useful enemys sense you can aggro them then use them to kill other monster such as thumpers, brackens, bulters, or other nuts. One of my favorite things to do is run inside eclipsed rend with nothing and come out with 4 shotguns by getting nuts to kill each other.

Old bird placement is 100% true. Genuinely did not deserve to get the highest threat rate ingame. They are not an issue, at least compared to other entities. (Jester placement is absolutely moronic, though. Incredibly easy to avoid until it’s already spawned, unless you’re REALLY deep. At least it’s an absolutely incredibly made and interesting entity. I’d put it at S or A tier.)

The monster design in this game is nice. Ghost Girl makes your friends think you're seeing things until your head explodes. Bracken is that perfect aesthetic color that blends in perfectly with the darkness, so you swear you saw eyes in the dark room ahead. Butler makes your friends think you're insane as you exclaim that it tried to kill you.

I would rank the Player at the top of S+ tier. Unlike the Jester where it can only target one player at a time, the player will constantly screw you and your team over. And they can target more than one member. Unless the team can cooperate, it’s very unlikely for the team to last a day without being toxic.

Not even joking, It was 6 pm, on Embrion, with old birds literally falling from the sky on me and I had my hands full and carrying 60 pounds with fog outside. I took a lot of damage but actually survived and clutched the game. They aren't as bad as you think.

By the way, slimes have one incredibly dangerous thing to them: if a player leaves through an exit, they will camp it until they see someone else. This means that they can sometimes surprise kill anyone who goes through main while a slime is there

I decided to stay behind and watch the coilheads while they run to the exit because if we all watched the coilheads we wouldve died because there wasn't enough time. One of us had to stay behind so the others could make it out.

Interesting information that might not change the old bird’s placement they have actually two sights the one with the spotlight is it’s 2nd and how it attacks however it has a crazy 1st sight there’s a video explaining how the monster works but basically it’s first sight it’s this massive bubble that depending on the map could see over half of or the entirety of the map outside meaning they do know where your generally are, but are too slow to properly used that to their advantage oh and their missiles can instant kill you however the spot that they do is specific, it can only kill you if the missile lands near or right under your feet however I don’t need to explain how you can just avoid this since 90% they are just shooting in a random direction

old birds belong in b or lower, you forgot to mention that theres only going to be more than one on 3 moons and one of those moons is impractical to go to for anything other than laughs/trolling and avoiding 1 is easy af especially when other monsters are around to distract it. when dealing with ghost girl remember that she can only spawn behind you, just dont turn around when you hear the breathing and it takes SO much longer for her to come after you and you can outrun her if youre not carrying anything pretty easily as long as youre not cornered, and if you play a map that has a higher spawn chance for ghost girl just remember to not look around too much, looking around more = higher paranoia, which makes you more likely to be a target/makes her more likely to spawn in early. plus once you know she exists and that youre the target, just dont give her room to spawn behind you and she wont spawn, have your back against the facility walls or whatever while your friends take care of the loot. jester is only s+ tier when you cant communicate with your teammates AND youre not traveling as a group. if everyone leaves he'll go back in his box and what you can do is have one person be inside until it pops so they can leave and alert the others that its back in its box, plus you can have someone be the "bait" and lure it to a dead end with no vent and a secure door and then its trapped and no longer an issue. another thing you can do as well is someone go in another exit when its about to pop, have the one person who was near it leave when it pops so it goes for the other, once that person hears it coming they can quickly leave and now the jester is far away from where you were originally so itll take forever for it to find you again and wind once more. baboon hawks i think are in c because there are a lot of things you can do to avoid making them go into aggressive mode like horns, grouping up, displaying a weapon, staying away from its nest and approaching the hawk to make it back up more when its staring at you, etc. (it has something to do with fear level and power levels, theres a baboon hawk ai explained video somewhere)

I get that Giants synergize with dogs and old birds aggro to everything that's not them but on there own an old bird is way worse than a Giant on their own. They're faster, can't be stunned to get out of their grip and can chip you from a distance.

@@addchannelname2052 their vision sucks tho, old birds lose track of you way easier than giants do, you can litterally run behind an old bird and they lose track of where you are. plus giants will stay by the ship a lot longer than old birds will if youre followed there by one of them. plus old birds are way less common and are only really a problem on artifice and even then you can lock them up pretty easily behind the bunkers (although why would you, they kill everything else except the leviathans)

How can you run behind a creature that can just turn around or grab you? Giants can be shot with 4 shells, beaten with a shovel or a knife, killed with an egg or stunned to get away. Circuit bees actually don’t swarm the map so long as only one player interacts with them at a time. If you try distraction methods (One player distracts, one grabs) then they will swarm as two players have messed with them. Instead, you need to grab the hive solo to ensure they do not roam the map

Giants have a counter hide behind trees or light poles they dont chase you immediately so as long as you can run between trees and poles they won't be impossible to avoid tho I agree that on planets with less cover they would be realy dangerous

I think I've only died to the girl once and she had to team up with a coil and a bracken/nut (I don't remember which one), I also have no problems avoiding worms. On the other hand, nutcrackers are my number 1 cause of death but it probably has to do with me running at them with a shovel

i personally think that the tulip snakes need to at least c teir, they are a complete inconvenience and they can make a shit load of noise, attracting dogs, giants, hawks, and other stuff, not to mention 3+ can obscure your vision and you need to completely wait until they are off of you to enter the building (or if you just have 1 on you) really underrated enemy, ive died more times to a tulip snakes than ive died to a coil head

My friends and I were on artifice once and I’ve never actually experienced an old bird before so my friend and I are on the ship waiting for the other 2 to return I open the door to distract some old birds… instant regret an old bird sees us and immediately launches me away from the door controls and all I can say to my teammate is I made a mistake and we start getting shelled I barely survived and my teammates lifeless corpse is right next to me. My teammates outside make it back from what sounded like Vietnam and see her body and me cowering in a corner
