I really like how Joe Pesci brought a sense of humor, intelligence and pride to his role as Leo Getz. He is really a good man caught up in violent affairs with druggets and traffickers. They don't give him the credit he deserves for helping them them in the questionable sequels like 3 and 4, which were good but never hold a candle to this second film. He had the charm and likable nature to make him a true diamond in the ruff and an an amazing actor to elude such courage, humor and dignity to a role that would have been lost in some other actor.

The hitman in this scene was an idiot. He walks into a room with three guys, two of which are cops and he decides to take his chances with them all. If I was him, the second I saw the cops i'd have delivered the order and then got the hell out of there, and waited for a better opportunity.
