Okay, but The First Omen was genuinely such a good movie! I’m so glad I was able to experience watching it in the theater. I loved that it didn’t have an abundance of jump scares. A problem with old horror movies is… they’re old. Sure, they’re creepy, but they’re dated. The cinematography, the effects, the essence of what’s ‘scary’ is all old. A movie that’s 40/50 years old is vastly different from a current film.
@xxaddyrallxx7 ай бұрын
that is completely untrue for some films. the original texas chainsaw massacre is still one of the creepiest films on the planet, the exorcist is still a brilliant film, original the hills have eye is filled with uneasy shots. hell, texas chainsaw massacre has shots that are referenced to this day, you can see the influence in X which was released in 2022. while i think that the original omen is decent and not as creepy as other movies today. yet, you could see its brilliance by how influential it is to modern day horror.

The entire atmosphere of The Omen from the music score, to the cinematography is completely psychological and spine chilling. Is it dated as in set in it's time?? Yes, it is. But then again so is "The First Omen". To me, there is NO difference. One was filmed in modern times set in 1971 and given literally the amber sepia tones .... And the other was the real deal from 1976.

I think there's precedent for Damien Thorne to have a sister. Revelation 12 tells a story about The Woman and the Dragon, where the Dragon (presumed to be Satan) pursues the Woman across the planet, but she's guided by God to a place preselected and prepared for her so she can take refuge and birth a son who will "rule the nations with an iron rod". From this it can be inferred that Damien's sister will be the mother of that ruler.

They could do a sequel to this movie without touching the originals. There is info in the movies that could make good storylines. How about how did mrs. Baylock,Paul buhar, and Damiens aunt Ann all find their selves part of the plan. Were they seduced by satan? I think that even though its different motives the Satanists will collaborate with the crazy church that birthed the antichrist. They will be working together to rise him up. In a new movie stuff could be going in about Damien that has nothing to do with altering the original movie.

This movie also reveals that God and Satan work together on the same team. It's a huge truth drop that makes sense but most people cannot accept yet. Just like how "The Unholy" from 2021 showed that too. Even in the Bible, Isaiah 45:7 says that God creates both good and evil. They have to both exist for each other to exist, so God has to create both, just like how George Lucas has to create both good guys and bad guys in Star Wars or else it would suck.
