Every once in a while i have a few odd- requests. I had a good customer of ours Dream up a Big wheel - high speed desert - high ground clearance Quad.. and i couldn't say no to him.. so here we are with "lets build a big wheel yamaha yfz450r quad part 1 "
In this video i take you through the process of designing extended a-arms , swingarm, and all the other bits N bobs that go into a build like this.

@BVC OFFROAD hey this may be really hard to believe but im the youngest of the family that Originally owned the Kodiak with the Stacker trailer you guys bought from us, i just recently stumbled across your channel and i gotta say i love the look you gave the old truck, it would be cool if you guys could possibly keep us updated and send pictures of the truck and trailer and once it's fully built i believe you still have my old man's phone number lmao.. it's good to see the ol' girl being used with awesome people like you guys! for sure gonna keep an eye on your channel to see more of the build!

Awesome stuff! This would be pretty sweet on a Raptor, with its torqier engine. Looks fun to ride. The ground clearance is insane!

awesome machine, Ive always wondered why yamaha never did this with the raptor from the factory to sorta compete with the can am renegade. I do think though that lighter wheels and tires, like what come stock on the renegade, would have suited the quad a bit better, but what a cool machine.

I think this is really really cool just would have to question how hard I could push it. Definitely would want some steering stabilizers and to get the lightest when and tire package possible maybe even going to 25” All the way around. And obviously a must would be limit straps if he plans on making that leave the ground bc of the much more weight hanging

Try taking a renegade and downsizing it with 22" tires but like the GNCC skinny set up.

That tube is an exhaust gas recerculation tube. Its like an EGR valve on a car. Its to keep combustion temperatures lower so it wont emit high amounts of oxides of nitrogen.

I like all the ground clearance. That’s one area the utility quads are much better but they are all so boring with the lame belt drive auto trans.
