Ages ago I bought this kit thinking it might make a good video, well to years later that day has come. I made a few mistakes along the way. I decided to leave everything in that happened. but note the following before you hit the comments. . .
Spoiler Alert - Once built it needs some fine tweaking by adjusting the trimmer on the back of the Capacitor and adjustment to the inductors. None of this was made clear to me in the instructions!!
Secondly, It doesn't sound too bad at all on headphones!

I built one of these too. My case fits better, but I guess these are not very consentient. I get about the same on FM as you originally, but I have no AM stations within 12 miles of where I am so... It's video #0168 over on my channel if anyone want to have a look at my folly too. I'll have to switch the inductors around to see if that helps. Yeah, don't bother buying this one folks.
