I think Mad Dog actually loves Ohtani in his heart .. it's just his performance for entertainment to hate. The last home run of Ohtani that flew over to the deep second deck was entertainment too. Every sentiment has it's own market and supporters even it's minor. Ohtani has the lion share of attentions. Many enjoy it, taking it as daily doses; some may want more balance and equal opportunities for others. He just grab this part of listeners, and using exaggerated debate as the form to make it interesting. It is not unhealthy or anti-Asia, but rather marketing considerations.

Penalty kicks are a lottery for sure but they are necessary as players get tired and even the extra time is boring due to fatigue. Every kick is so much pressure that even decades later people remember the player who missed the penalty for their country. Since it only happens in knockout competitions it's one of the most exhilarating things that happen in football.
