One of the things I love to do is use photographs from family vacations, events, etc., where the photos did not turn out well. I also buy discarded photos at recycling centers. They are usually color photos and measure 4x6. I will use a larger, more intricate stamp (using permanent black ink) and stamp right over the top of the photo. Amazingly the original photo gets lost in the design and looks merely like interesting background color and, depending upon the stamp, it can look like leaded glass. Then just cut the photo to your desired size. I love the look. If you want to really throw caution to the wind, alcohol inks love the glossy surface of the photos. Experiment.

Hi Tracie! I’m in the fall of my 50s. And my family think that it’s really weird that I save the backer from my watercolor paper and cereal boxes and coffee boxes and cardboard to recycle. It’s either free or you really did pay for it with the items that you purchased. I learned that in home economics. Thank you for all of your great ideas!

Thank you so much Tracie, I really really enjoyed watching you create those tags out if virtually nothing. And I really really love ❤️ them all. I will certainly look at every single thing I’m throwing in the recycling bin 🗑 is not something I could use for tags etc. Please stay safe and well too xxx 😘 Mags

You could use magazine pages that are strengthened, glued together, or added to another base. Cut out a tag from card stock and use the left over outer shape to see what the magazine picture would look like as a tag. So many possibilities.
