Lets enrage some techno purists and attempt to create classic Detroit techno late 80s/early 90s style. Lots of Roland TR-909 and Alpha Juno (and some more late 80s favorites) to create some machine music with soul.
Chapters:
0:00 Intro
1:23 The foundation, Roland TR-909 bass drum and Alpha Juno chord stab
2:34 Programming the 909 beats on the Roland TR-8S
4:35 Adding details with the Yamaha TX81Z
6:44 More details: Juno 106 strings
7:10 M1 Kraftwerk
8:33 The final track

Hell yes, Love this! I wish I had a time machine because I would go back and go to clubs as current me. I was born in 1985 so I wasn't in the clubs but I heard the music and what a great time, no social media or people recording and posting things. Just people with their attention mostly on the music and the environment.

I'm binging all your videos. Great explanations and end results! I'm old enough to be an OG, but sadly during that era I was mainly focused on "real" music and electronic music was no more than an occasional guilty pleasure. Now I'm in my 40s and bought some synths and try to create tracks like this. It's not nearly as easy as I then thought it would be (or as easy as you make it seem), but I am enjoying the process very much. Maybe I'll be ready to go pro by the next revival, 30 years from now...
