What is this glorious brush?
@HadesPsd Жыл бұрын
It's a common brush you'll find if you've download alot of concept art brush packs. The only place I can remember that you can get this is on TB Choi's gumroad page. It's free. Not sure if it's exactly the same though. Works better in Photoshop than CSP.

Heya Hades, how are these types of gesture drawings applied to actual figure drawing? Like does it work as a blueprint for the pose? Or is it just exercise?
@HadesPsd Жыл бұрын
If following the force drawing approach, this would be your underdrawing. At this point though, i'm only thinking about force shapes, so I dont actually draw all this stuff when i'm doing figure drawing, it's just there working in the background for me.

@@HadesPsd i see.. cus right now im still struggling on what approach of gesture drawing to just practice on. There's force drawing and then theres the skeletal one. Like im scared of not developing the 'right' method for what i wanna do in the long run. At the end of the day i just want to APPLY it to drawing figures lmao

ah good old force drawing. Quick question btw, in one of your videos/livestreams you talked about drawabox and said that its only necessary to finish until lesson 2 if you want to get the basics only and move on. Does that still stand true or is it required to finish all 7 lessons?

That's just my opinion. I think it's great if you're aiming for a Peter Han, dynamic sketching sort of style of art. If you want to start learning to draw figures, I would say just skip the rest of the DAB lessons and just focus on figure drawing instead. Just my opinion though.

no credit to Mike Mattesi or the FORCE drawing website ?

I always recommend Force Drawing to people on my channel! It's definitely not a secret where I learnt this way of drawing. I hope my video didn't give you the impression that I was claiming this technique as my own or something. Thanks for commenting, very much appreciate the live streams your team puts out.
