Price of entry. The Godzilla only started in like 21, I think? Similar engine mounts, works with the stock computer when it's tuned well, and LOVES forced induction. Finding a crashed F250 just for the motor is tough to do for cheap.

Trick Flow Specialties makes a head kit that supposed to make 400hp on the 4.6 2v. I would like to get that. The LS swap sounds ideal but I just can't bring myself to put a Chevy in my Ford. Also you didn't say anything about what you would need to do for an ECU. Which of these would work, if any, with the stock ECU? Or would another ECU have to somehow grafted into the cars control system for engine instruments and other systems management?

There's nothing cheap putting any of these engines in a $4,000 car. All 3 or twice as much as the damn car itself. I would like to try the Marty tune that's 500 bucks man. You must have a lot of money cuz I see all the cars you've gone through. I got a Broward county fire rescue CV for $4500. I love it but it's an underpowered pooch for such a big car.

I don't know where you came up with $4,000 for a 5.4 swap 5.4 I got from Marketplace 800. 200 for intake adapter plates so you can use your 4.6 intake manifold on the 5.4. Let's see change the oil pan to the 4.6 oil adapter filter housing to the 4.6 pretty easy and the 5.4 out of the Expedition flywheel will fit both the 12 inch torque converters balls of smaller p71 police interceptor torque converter so there's your flexplate fix problem right there and not a problem at all actually I've done it twice you can do the swap for right around 1500 to 2 Grand definitely not $4,000. It gets you roughly 60 more ft lb of torque before a tune after Dyno tune you're looking at close to about 80 more feet pounds of torque definitely worth it are you going to make 350 horsepower out of that engine stock know but with a good tune and some upgrades you can make close to 300hp. My son has a KZbin channel I think we're going to make a video on this very subject that way we can clear the air cuz there's a lot of misinformation floating around. As far as power adders go the 6.0 and 5.3 LS engine is far from bulletproof and it stock trim. I do agree with you on the 4.6 double overhead cam way overrated definitely not worth it! 5.4 2v all day!

you missed the part of the video where i said MOST people would use a shop to help with the install. just the labor for the fab work...mounting...and the HOURS to get the thing tuned perfectly would put people well OVER $2,000 easily into the $4k territory

With most of these you fail to mention major trans upgrades or swaps, driveshaft needs or maybe daily status things that wont exist with the swap or will be really intensive to make work. Cool video but calm down and take your time man. I watched from front to back and do not agree with all the 5s but end all be all, a Coyote is cool as hell, Hellcat is unobtanium, 5.4 is a waste unless you spent some $$, 4V not for me to make that little, LS is cheap with tons of aftermarket and is probably the cheapest to make it work and do major mods down the road to make it crazy or just cool. You can get a 200k running 5.3 or 4.8 truck or SUV for 1k ish. Thats MOST of your swap if you cannibalize it. LS is lame, i agree. But it just friggin works and i love them for what they are, easy.. I like easy power and upgradability.
@darrellcoyАй бұрын
And I am not saying the LS is easier than the others. BUT there are plug and play kits, adapters, aftermarket, and more people who have done LS than most of the other options. So YOU can do it and not rely on a shop. My personal pick is Coyote, but on a budget LS hands down.

saying the Ls is more modifiable than a coyote is just sad, bring in your comparision of price after modifying and the coyote makes more power per Dollar, this is already made up idk about some of the information you present feels biased and more like an opinion.
@MrRandomReviewsАй бұрын
doesnt change the fact the CHEAPEST coyote motor is between 6500 to $8,000 compared to a $1,000 junkyard LS so no your "dollar to dollar" comparison is wrong. i can build a 1,000HP LS for the price of a STOCK coyote. you clearly have no real world experience with this matter but wanna pretend like you do SMH
@Joebauers2505Ай бұрын
@@MrRandomReviews No real world experience, Not like i have a sleeved built bottom end gen 1 coyote with a magnuson supercharge, fore stage 2 fuel system and fic 1200 injectors or a built sbf turboed. Or frequently work on said platforms with buddys that also build gofasts.
@Joebauers2505Ай бұрын
@@MrRandomReviews iDK Where you are looking but you can buy a shortblock aluminator for $4500- heads cost ya another 1500 or you could buy a junkyard engine anywhere from 1200-3000 thats nation wide. get a gen 2 call Power by the Hour controll pack youd be in it for about 3-4k engine wise toss another 1000 for a mt82 or 2500 for Mxl. Sure you can buy a shit engine that needs cams/heads/bottom to survive at the power levels above 750 but after all that my point is proven that a coyote + boost is cheaper and makes more power. Also those 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 are not Ls engines they are L84 engines. take away the engine management and trans. Built L84 vs stock coyote prices are similar and make similar power til you add boost.
@Joebauers2505Ай бұрын
@@MrRandomReviews Then add in you said you cant make more than 400 on a 2v 4.6 thats just wild. rebuild/ forged bottom end cost you less than 1500 head work another 800 - cams 12-1400 and either go nitrous 200 wet or get a 2.3 tvs with a 78/80mm pulley make 11-12psi and you should make around 418 on the stock pulley - well you have a built engine you can push the boost @15-16psi you should be around 480 and with a 2v youll be sitting a nice 550-600 ft lbs. basically at the lightning level.
