Thank you so much for doing this series. I'm always looking for better ways to store my supplies. I'm the same way with other rooms, no problem getting rid of items, and downsize, but my scrapbook supplies are special. I hope that you find lots of storage ideas from different scrappers, so that you don't have to purge your beautiful supplies.Thank you again. I'm so excited about this series. Oh, and it was so good to see your sweet girls. I always enjoy seeing them at the end of your video. ☺

the record sleeve is also my go to storage for collections, the challenge of washi tape I addressed by pulling off a 3" piece of each tape and making an example card, that way I know what to look for in my washi drawers and how many rolls there are, if the tape has a cardboard core I try and write the name of the collection on the inside of the tape
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for sharing your organization! I just started using acetate or plastic packaging to make example cards for my washi and I put the card in with my collection. I also try to write inside the washi tape roll but a lot of times it's plastic so I've been thinking of maybe adding a label using my label maker and hoping that it will stick to the inside.

Excellent video! Thank you! For those flaps, you can try adding some small velcro dots instead of fussing with putting the flaps in the slots. I would LOVE to see you do one on Lace and trims!!! PLEASE!! LOL
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lisa! That's a great idea! I tried adding tabs made from clear packing tape and that worked really well to keep the pockets closed but then things would get stuck to to the bits of tape when trying to put things in and take them out. I'll have to try the velcro dots. I'll add Lace and Trims to the list of possible crafty supplies for future hops. I did do a few videos on Ribbon and Twine ... not sure if you saw these videos on my channel. kzbin.infosearch?query=ribbon

Thank you. You’ve given me tons of ideas. I currently use a combo of storage solutions. I use the paper studio pockets for most of my stuff but I also use IRIS cases for larger collections. I also use 2 gallon ziploc bags from the dollar store. So 5 bags for 1.25. I also store in my kallax store unit, IRIS container towers and a very special antique wooden tower for all my Maggie Holmes collections. Paige Evans collections also have tons of ephemera like those 2 x 2 paper swatches that are awkward to fit in any page protector storage system so into an IRIS case it goes. Love your washi idea!!
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
yw Lucy! Thanks for sharing your storage ideas. I love hearing how other people organize and store things. I do wish those IRIS cases fit in the Kallax. I use those cases for some of my Christmas collections and store them vertically on shelves in my closet. I also tried using the Iris 12x12 Slim Project Cases and those do fit 12x12 paper but they are super akward to get things in and out of them and they are thin and break very easily .. I don't think I would ever buy those again. I do love the Iris Slim 8.5x11 Project Cases for storing inks, nuvo drops, wood stamps and other things. Those are awesome but unfortunately they are too small for 12x12 papers!

Thank you for sharing these storage/organization options. Some I use, but others I'd not seen before. I really like the CM ones-- nice heavy duty plastic--when going to crops because I select coordinating papers, embellishments, etc which can be sorted into the different pockets (making up a mini kit) and still have a pocket for 4x6 photos I will use with those supplies. (I start with 4x6 photos 99% of the time.) So when I'm at the crop, I choose the "set" and can start scrapbooking. It saves me time and I accomplish more. Looking forward to your next video. Love the polka dot scarves on your pups...they are a good color for them!

Check out the totally Tiffany scrap masters, they’re like the project planners but more of a folder so the gussets don’t get caught when you have 2 next to each other and they’re not for the scraprack so they don’t have the 3 holes. they’re a little pricey but hsn has them on sale sometimes and they’re 10x easier than the project planners to handle. I held off on buying them for the longest time but I finally did and I LOVE them for my collections

Excellent videos, I always enjoy seeing how people organize things! You turned me on to those record sleeves a while ago & I just love them! I think the ones I got were a little thicker than the ones you had. Maybe 5 mil, they are a little beefier than a page protector…love them & thank you!!!
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Renee! I love seeing how other people organize things too and I love getting new ideas and tips that help me with my organization ... so I think this hop is going to be a lot of fun. I haven't seen the 5mil page protectors but maybe I'll look for those once I run out of the ones I have. My favorite record sleeve right now is the BCW 4 mil ones and they are a really nice heavyweight plastic ... I find them much better than the Check Out Store 3 mil record sleeves that I was using when I first found them a few years ago.

I love seeing these variations, for big collections I use the TT project planner Memento keeper, it’s a binder, love it but not expandable. I need to look at expandable folders that go in binder…..or start using it all up 🤣🥰 lol yes I have a Vicki Boutin drawer, 49 and market drawer and a big file box for Doodlebug and Bella blvd 🥰
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anne ... Thanks so much for sharing your organization!! I've looked at the TT project planner memento keeper but worry that it would be heavy and bulky to pull on and off a shelf. I have had carpal tunnel surgery in both my hands and it's hard for me to lift heavy things so putting tons of stuff in a binder can be a bit of a challenge for me. Do you find your binders get heavy once you have them all loaded up with your collection? It looks like that Memento Keeper uses the same TT expanding project folders that I'm using to store my collections so maybe you could expand your collection by adding more of those expanding project folders and just store them on your bookshelf along with your Memento Keeper. Vicki Boutin, 49 & Market, Doodlebug and Bella Blvd are some of my favorites too!!! I love 49 & Market but just started getting some of their collections and I only have a few. I totally love paper but I really need to start using more of my stuff too otherwise I'm going to end up on one of those TV shows as the little old lady that has stacks of scrapbooking paper from floor to ceiling taking over the house ... lol 😂🤣😂
@M4pockets18Annie2 жыл бұрын
Yes…. It bulkys and heavy in a few. I have 8 on 2 low modular cubes. One is just jillibean soup filled….definitely need a 12 step to stop loving and buying all the beautiful NEW. 😉😂 I need to treat this as a professional organizer does one new thing in one old thing out….so I better get scrapping 🥰👍🏻

Yes, it's a small toolbox on casters with 5 drawers. The color is not a baby blue but it's more of an aqua or light green blue. I found it at Home Goods store a few years ago.

In watching prices go up, if you feel you don't truly want to get rid of craft stuff, don't. It's harder to find and it's even harder to find good prices on things anymore on top of it. I don't shop much, but I'm having major sticker shock when I look at prices. I did give away a ton of great stuff (3ft stack of 12x12 papers alone) late last summer because I was just feeling overwhelmed in my space and while I don't regret it, even with not having scrapbooked a single thing in well over a year (the pandemic just really messed me up and then when I did try and catch up, Costco's photo fulfillment center that's always been great had to reprint everything I sent like 3x and even then, what I received sucked, so I eventually got a partial refund and never got around to trying to figure out which photos were worth using even though the quality was subpar and which ones just outright needed to be redone...because as you can imagine, about 2 years worth of photos printed 3x each is a task and a half) I still love the things I own and do shop a bit here and there, still, and currently don't have any plans to get rid of anything else...at least nothing too serious. If I hate something, then yeah...not going to keep it. If it's no longer good, yeah, not going to keep it. But the rest isn't suffocating me, so there's no point, especially knowing I can't replace it that easily anymore. I have my 2 kit clubs, but they're pretty small, so it's a lot easier to get those and put them away for future use than a bunch of 12x12 collections would be. I hope you do a step by step series on your move in and even if you don't, a room tour would be awesome. I'm sure with any move, changes must be made and you are such a joy to watch organize, I definitely vote for at least sharing that part of the process with you. If you are still feeling a bit overwhelmed, no worries, just throwing it out there that you have at least one viewer who would appreciate the content! Good luck on your move!
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
I totally agree ... I don't think I will let go of things unless it's something that I really don't like or something that I don't think I will ever use. It would definitley be more expensive to try to replace things in the future if I did get rid of things now. I have to say that I'm really happy that I did a lot of shopping in 2020 and 2021 before the prices starting go up. Having a lot of stuff can be a bit overwhelming and makes it a lot of more difficult to get organized but I'm thankful to have the things that I do. I will definitely be doing a room tour of my current craft room and also a room tour of the new craft room. I've had some health problems this year and just had knee surgery about 3 weeks ago but if I can get back to where I can more around a little better, I would definitely love to do more organization videos during and after my move.
