I love your ideas! If I don’t use your plans exactly, you get my mind working on different ways to do it for my space! I too put my dies on magnetic sheets with information. One thing that I have learned is that I wanted to know how many dies went in a set as sometimes a die can get ‘lost’ on my desk when working on a project (or left in my sandwich in my machine!). So part of my information on a set is the number of pieces in that set. Just a title, a dash (-) and the number. That way at the end of a project I know that I have everything together. I find that I do this even on my nesting sets so a quick count lets me know if I have put everything back together. Short of ‘die skeletons’ (an outline of the die) on my magnetic sheet, I can’t think of another way! Again - thanks for taking the time to show us your organization tips! 😊 (PS - My fav idea is your system to organize mini ink pads and other items in a slim line case! 😲 Love it!! 😍Currently a work in progress for me! 😁)

I can't imagine having to take everything out of their containers to move them. How terrible for you! We are moving just 11 miles away, so I have moved the entire contents of my stamp room over to the new house already. When I unbox everything they will still be in their containers. Well, except for all the paper and cardstock. The paper sorters had to be emptied, but I marked on the box of papers which sorter they go into. All that stuff is super heavy. Hope that works out for me. Good luck organizing your room!

I hope to be as organized as you are one day!

Also if you have huge stamp packets like those that come in magazines with lots of images I just cut the different images up and store them that way. Only the stamps that are large and only one image go in the larger storage area.

I need an app that isn't cloud or subscription based (I don't mind paying, but I'd like to keep it on my phone and only pay one time) for stamps. I can't even remember the one option people recommend, but it's an annual fee app. I want to be able to take pictures with my phone and then tag the crap out of everything (brand, theme, keywords for shapes and sentiments, etc). Because stamps are multifaceted unless you break them apart for specific categories which I will NEVER be able to do, an interactive option is more feasible than having to have a copy of the stamp set in a binder for each tag you'd use because they just aren't a one and done thing. You can have stamps kept by brand, by season, by type, by sentiment, by holiday, etc and every tag be relevant to all or part of the set. I'm not going to print out a photo of a single stamp set 15 times so it's kept in every relevant tag. Your flip through books for punches is genius. I don't think I could make myself do that anymore than I can come with a setup that I'm happy with for my stamps because my punch situation is out of control. Before this past summer it might have been feasible, but I found 2 listings for women selling off estates of family members who had passed away and managed to get something like 200+ punches and then another lady I was looking for more pictures of her listing for before I considered purchasing the stuff ended up being too busy and just GAVE me the things (it included several paper pumpkins from Stampin Up and a few more punches). I have punches out the wazoo now and some of them in as much as triplicate from buying them myself over the years and then getting them a second time in one estate sale and a third time in the second estate sale. Most of the duplicates are basics like circles and labels so I don't plan to sell any off because I have 3 kids and you never know when we'll need to work on a project for school where more than one is handy...plus punches don't have a limitless life either, even if you can take most of them apart to sharpen them and I'm never going to be able to find them again for the 50ish cents I paid for the majority of them...mostly being stampin up and martha stewart. I have an old cd shelf from Ikea that is full to the brim with punches, several drawers in 3 different Alex units that hold nothing but punches now AND an over the door shoe organizer with some of the older McGill style and other larger punches with an organizer from the container store on the other side of that same door from their Elfa line (I moved my craft room a while back and held onto the baskets just in case...all I needed to buy were the closet rod and brackets, otherwise I'd still have a bunch of the whale tail style floating around my room because I couldn't justify $200+ on storage for punches I paid so little for). They're just so much more convenient and accessible than dragging out a huge machine like you do with dies...they're just not so compact to store, lol. That being said, I probably need some solution or to at least rearrange and condense the punches to one area, even if they're spread out between multiple furniture pieces to spread out the weight. You are right that once you have a large supply of something, going back to catalog it all is daunting. I don't have a cataloging system for anything, but it would be a huge benefit, for sure! I love your organizational videos because you have such a knack for creating a beautiful space. I hope you continue to share your room's progress, though I do understand that it can be hard to move from a space where you've been comfortable for a really long time to a new space where you have to start all over. Setting it up in the first place is a lot of fun, but starting over when you had such a great flow going really messes with your mojo. I still don't feel completely moved into my new setup even after 15 months of being in it. Most of my time spent in the space is on my computer or taking on organizational projects, not crafting in the space. The only thing seeing any use in my craft space right now is my new 3d printer...which I wasn't even planning on having live here. It has created a whole new pile of things I need to rehome, lol.

Hy from switzerland where do you find the little tabs that you fixed by the swatchs from your punches? I search these to tab my books . 🙋♀️🇨🇭
@YesPleasePapercrafts2 жыл бұрын
The tabs in my punch reference book are Post It tabs. The tabs are removeable and repositionable so they can also be easily moved around. amzn.to/3HMPkRG. Hope this helps 😁

What is the divided acrylic bin you use for your stamp storage? I didn't catch what you called it. Thanks!
@YesPleasePapercrafts Жыл бұрын
The divided bin is the iDesign® Fridge Binz™ 12-Inch x 15-Inch Divided Deep Tray. The one that I have is no longer being sold but if you search for this you should find one that is similar. Here's a link to the newer model on Amazon. amzn.to/3ILKJzm And, here is the link to Jennifer McGuire's Stamp Storage video where she shared this storage solution. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJ_Kept4i9tpj6s Hope this helps.
