I always use airstones to aerate the water while I mix in. Silica first. Wait an hr or two. Then cal mag. If using dry nutes or molasses, I use some hot tap water in a water bottle to break them completely down. Then pour into my bucket. If I need to pH I dilute it first with water then pour into bucket.

Ive been using lemon juice and baking soda to ph up and down. Already had them in my kitchen and they work, no need to buy anything special. But a little goes a long way :)

But why do you need to throw out the water if you need to use the up and down after one another in order to balance things?

Hay GT I'm new to fox farm soil. I've been researching happy frog& oceans forest.alot of people say that they have changed alot over the years.not to use it.. because happy frog doesn't have enough food to start your plants and ocean forest is to hot for your plants. I know you use it. Is their a mix between the both that you do or just frog to start and then ocean to finish?? Any advice will be appreciated.thank you sir

I think I’ve seen him use ocean before what he does is just doesn’t feed for a while and I think he measures the runoff ppm after a few weeks of growing and watering but I would wait for a response caligreen uses fox farm too but he does his organic

So I just purchased a a led grow light that’ll cover a 3x3ft veg area and a 2.5x2.5 ft flowering area,,,,then I bought some gardening soil that has fertilizer in it and the bag claims well feed your vegetable 🌶 for the next nine months,,,, So being my first grow ever other than caring for our house plants I’m just about at my wits end with the COST of simply growing a weed indoors !!! And videos like this one (helpful as they are) seem to bring on anxiety !!!???? Makes me wonder HOW DID POT EVER GROW BEFORE IN JUST SOME DIRT, WATER AND SUNSHINE ☀️???????? Then the outrageous cost for NUTRIENTS?? Water testers soil testers ?????? So again love your videos but yeah I’m not trying to spent $$$$$$$$$ to grow a weed!!!!!???? So I believe right or wrong I’m going to grow my first grow using a few simple AROUND THE HOUSE ITEMS we all throw into the trash can 🗑 to feed my plants ,,,,my moms mom ( my grandmother God bless her soul) when I was young made me collect suppers straps like egg shell, onion peels , banana 🍌 peels, coffee grounds , the wash water after rinsing rice, or after boiling potatoes,,,,, So I learned at a very young age how to compost !!! I can never recall ever seeing any store bought fertilizer or nutrients around the house ,,,,,,but I do remember using compost and old soil being mixed together at opting time ,,,,,,
