LETS GO PURPLE!! | DIY YouTube Studio Makeover (2024)

So since it's a new year I think it's time to freshen the place up a little bit, and I decided I would do a little DIY KZbin studio makeover, but this time embrace a bolder purple colour for the background, and also add an extra shelving piece so that I have more storage! And although this makeover isn't the most drastic studio makeover ever, it definitely (for me) feels a lot more organised and slightly more cozy too! I did plan on buying a new table and rug as they've both seen better days, however I spent a fortune on command hooks so that'll have to wait! But let me know what your thoughts are of the brand new studio, unless obviously you hate it then don't let me know as I won't be changing it for a loooooooong time!!

@AnthonyCrammen Your decorating is about the same as mine used to be lol. I really like the colour you chose, it's a warm, moody colour that suits the space, and the LED lights really made the background pop along with the other lights you put up. However, I have one thing I especially want to say to you tho Ant. Pease don't stand on chairs with wheels, I did that, just once mind you, but that was all it took to permanently disable me. That foolish decision has given me 40+ years of chronic pain, I would hate to see that happen to you.

I think changing the color of the wall to a more warm color, changes the space away from the blueish, washed out tone it had before. love it! Your skin tone is more pink/warm too!

I think the new studio looks great but I do miss your little sculpture’s face looking over your shoulder. 😂😂😂 He’s so cute! I’ve been decluttering and sorting out my craft room this past month (January) and it’s so good to know where everything is! I took inspiration from your wall of shelves and got myself a big industrial style shelving unit and a bunch of plastic tubs. Everything is labelled and so easy to find now! You can even see some of the floor 😮😮😮😂😂. Hope 2024 is an awesome year for you Ant. Oh man! I remember the last studio remodel, time sure has flown! The new one looks great, Ant! Love the purple and the LED strips! I have them all over my room too. Watching you redecorate your studio reminded me of the time we had rewiring done throughout the whole house. I hate decorating 😂😂 but I looked at it as an opportunity to try something new. It looks great Ant! Now, here i ccome as help sent ... If you have not thrown away that snow globe you should as someone who's made one before you did not put any of the stuff in it that's supposed to keep the water clear and not moldy and murky which I didn't the first time I made mine and it got really gross.... But as I am a hoarder of craft things also LOL... What I think you should do is clean out the jar and keep the jar for another project because those jars can be expensive and then you can keep part of it and upcycle it to something that wont be murky and moldy and gross. The studio looks fantastic though. I hope your week has gone well! ❤❤❤

This was a fantastic trip down memory lane, and *much* more fun to watch you do it than tackling my own version of a studio reorg 😅 When I moved into my current house, I needed to repaint the entire place because the previous owners had apparently gotten a ridiculously good deal on cans of babypoop brown paint, and I just couldn’t live surrounded by that. Let’s just say I raged and cursed at their choice of paint color and their overwhelming use of Command hooks. Ironically, I just put up a couple of those hooks so I can move your painting to a different wall where I can see it while I’m at my computer every day. 🥰But I still think the Command company is in cahoots with satan, lol. It looks great, i LOVE the wall color! I think art studios should have lots of creative, fun, bright stuff around to serve as inspiration and to me it almost feels like I've then got 'permission' to get as messy & dirty as i want if I'm already surrounded by a wonderful mix of color and texture! I know i would be a lot less creative if i was stuck in a bare, minimal, perfectly decorated space, because I'd be scared of spilling or breaking something etc. It's perfect Ant 💜

You did a really good job! As a minimalist I see is endless hours of dusting. 😂 I will say please get rid of the mold jar because if it gets out of there and into the wood or walls you will spend a lot of time and $$ trying to get it out. I had a relative who had black mold in their house and oh my word it was a lot to deal with! Maybe remake a dublicate the jar with distilled water so you still have one.

Love the wall color. Reorganization is always a fresh feeling to it. I'm so happy that simply making videos is fulfilling to you. We reape the benefits of your creative works. Your very engaging I could listen to you all day. Even if you did longer videos I would watch. Their is acutely another of artists that enjoy longer videos. They use them while they work. Not everyone wants 15 mins or less they always seem rushed and leaving stuff out. Not a fan of that.

Ah with midnight aubergine behind you, you are definitely going to stand out more. As long as the videos don't go beyond 20 minutes, then the effect might begin to weaken somewhat.
