Spoiler I want to say a little more about each Persona about the origin of the name, but if you're gonna play the game don't read it and do the research yourself. Persona 5 was a great game, highly recommend it if you like RPGs at all, though you might want to go with Persona 5 Royal, which is the expanded version with more content and balance changes. It oozes style, the soundtrack is great, and the story's pretty interesting (so I wouldn't go spoiling too much more if you intend to play it). Personas in a sense are like Stands from JoJo, if you need an anime point of reference.

For context, the Shadows that our Phantom Thieves opposed are metaphysical manifestations of those people's true thoughts and feelings. The Palaces that they appear in are distortions of how they view certain parts of reality - it also contains cognitions of other people, how the Palace ruler perceives those people. In the case of the volleyball teacher Kamoshida, he perceived himself as a king, the high school his castle, and the students his helpless servants (or in Ann's case, his naively faithful "princess").

51:48 First off, *What the actual flip, who let them post that without a spoiler warning after Haru's Persona?* Second off, Joker is Protag. They have code names. I'll tell you all of them real quick... at the end of this comment but first I have to tell you that Persona 5 Royal adds in TWO NEW CHARACTERS and awakenings, and a new palace. It's the one I would reccomend playing and it's also on Switch Code name: Joker Real Name: Ren/Akira (Nobody can decide which one is the real name, the American name is Ren but I prefer Akira) Persona: Arsene, pillager of twilight Persona main power: Curse (also called Eiha) Secret Power: It's not Arsene's but Joker is the holder of the Wild Card ability. What does this do for him? Well... play the game and find out. I'd watch that playthrough. Mona Morgana Zorro Wind (Garu) Healing (Morgana is the "best" healer by far but his defenses are so low and he's not going to be dealing much damage late game...) Skull Ryuji Captain Kidd Electric (Zio) Physical damage (Everyone can do it but Ryuji is known for being your tanky physical attacker. He's not the STRONGEST physical attacker BUT HIS BULK IS UNMATCHED. He is one of the best party members in the game. Focus on Physical damage tho. His Zio damage is kind of meh... but it DOES exist so yeah) Panther Ann Carmen Fire (Agi) Dormina (Okay so Ann isn't known for much. She's got REALLY strong Fire skills and... that's about it, her secondary skills are kind of weak... but she can also heal, has one of the highest clip sizes in the game for her gun, can lower enemy attack, etc. Her most powerful of these skills, tho... is Dormina, a Sleep skill. It is... SO incredibly powerful. Put enemies to sleep and do Phys damage and you'll do a LOT of damage. Sleep is one of the "worst" status effects in the game, supposedly, but if it's on your team youll heal from it every turn and you can protect them and if it's on your enemies they won't heal enough for it to really matter due to your damage output. IT'S SO GOOD ON EITHER SIDE) Fox Yusuke Goemon (Yes, like the guy who got boiled. Ironically, his weakness is Fire) Ice (Bufu) Phys (Ryuji but more Phys damage and less Defense. More speed but like... Ryuji hits like a truck anyways and Fox only outdoes him with gimmicks like Baton Pass Damage Boost on certain skills, or, late game, with his strongest Gun which boosts Atk by 15. He also gets cool Counter skills which aren't that practical but can be nice to have. He's honestly okay. His Bufu skills are stronger than Ryuji's Zio skills, too due to his Magic stat. Honestly Ryuji is still better... but that's up for debate. I use Fox, Panther, and Mona as by B team and honestly? They're a terrifyingly strong B team) Queen Makoto Johanna Nuke (Frei. Nuke skills are not OP they're just another damage type.) Literally everything (Makoto is like Ann but even more OP. What she fails to have in damage she has in INCREDIBLE versatility. Of course, later ON she gets the same Damage Up skills that Ann gets but yeah. Queen has the 100% heal to all party members move like Morgana, she has an AOE phys skill called Flash Bomb that inflicts Dizzy, which like Sleep, gives you more damage if you hit dizzy enemies with Phys skills, has a Defense up To All Party Members skill, deals Nuke damage, is somewhat tanky, just... Makoto is the fanbase's favorite healer. A lot of people also think she's hot. No comment there but her personality and intelligence certainly shine. Like Ryuji, she's a Main Party sort of character. A real A team gal.) Beauty Thief- Ahem... I mean, uh... Noir. Haru Milady Psychic (Psi/Psio) GUN. (GUN IS HER REAL SPECIALTY. In attack, that is... okay in truth, IM IN LOVE WITH HARU'S MAKARAKARN. IT'S SO OP DEFENSIVELY. That's her real power. If it defends against all Magic attacks it's STRONG. She gets to counter her own weakness as soon as she gets it because it's that good. Haru is A team material. She kind of stagnates late game but Joker can pick up her slack. In Royal you can also give her a "Uses [2.5x multiplier for use turn on Magic damage for 1 character] on any party member you choose" skill which you can just immediately use on Joker which paired with everything else makes her really good too... also she can cure status ailments. She's good) Spoilers... Crow A[Spoiler] Lo- Uh... Lobin Hood (Robin Hood lmao) Bless (Kouga) ??? (He can also do Curse damage which is nice. Huh? Wdym it's "???"? Oh, that? Don't worry, he really doesn't have any speciality except for his Bless and Curse damage combo. Has some okay Instant Kill skills too. Honestly though, his true specialty is a spoiler.) Joker Akira/Ren, once again *Satanael* Mostly just Gun lmao. (It's an actual thing you can use in NG+) Also uses Curse. Secret power: Well, you saw the video. That's it's true power. Royal Only Violet (not Violent) Kasumi (The fans affectionately refer to her as Sumi and we would appreciate if you did so, too. It also helps with [Spoiler]. You don't have to 100% of the time but Sumi is the way we tend to refer to her) Cendrillon. Don't look it up. You'll spoil yourself. Bless I... don't know??? (If you asked me what Sumi's speciality is I COULD NOT TELL YOU. I looked it up and I still don't know??? I guess she can increase party crit rate? She has single target full heal?) These was all from the original version of persona 5, in The Royal version of the game, there are two more awakenings, and in Persona 5 Strikers, (or Scramble, as it was named in Japan) there are two more awakenings as well. Hope this helps you later, if you want to make a video on what you have missed. Ps. In Persona 5 The Royal, there is something called "Showtime" attacks, there are 8 of these, with (I think) two version of each. It would make for a nice reaction video, and you can ad in what you missed in this video as well. Every one wins.

Each villain in the game had desires that manifested them a “palace” in the metaverse. Kamoshida was a volleyball star who abused his team’s players, because he saw the school as his castle. Shiho is Ann’s best friend, a member of the volleyball team. Ann hung out with Kamoshida to help Shiho keep herposition as a starter on the team, and when Ann said she was done playing his games, he sexually assaulted Shiho. Shiho then jumped off the school and ended up in the hospital. Haru already had a persona when she “awakened” so she didn’t need to remove her mask. Her persona just didn’t have it’s full power. Akechi is a similar situation, except he, sort of like Joker, has multiple personas. There’s a whole extended ending to the game. It changes smaller aspects of the story in order to introduce new characters, and adds more to the end of the game beyond this. Kasumi/Sumire storyline is a wild one.

I didn't see anyone explain Joker to you. The woman in the first awakening, in the flashback, was about to be sexually assaulted by a man, when the main character interrupted to help her. The man fell down, and then said that the main character assaulted him, getting him arrested and thrown in juvie for something like a year. It's not really a spoiler to say all that, it's revealed really early in the game.

I have played the original game and about to play the Royal version. There's so many things to say about this lol. The palaces they are in with the bad guys are the cognitive world which is in a sense inside their minds and what they think of the outside world. They don't remember what happens in the cognitive world but their thoughts of things will change if the Phantom Thieves steal the "treasure" of the palace. Honestly, play the game because one it's amazing and two it will explain as the story goes along. Things go into spoiler territory if things are explained too much here. I love all the characters in this game for different reasons and yes even Makoto guys!

@@HiyasuClan P1 and P2 apparently don't exist to the fanbase, P3 had an interesting story but it REALLY shows it's age and the Tired mechanic sucks, P4 is cool and all but it also still feels kind of old, P5 is great but has some questionable balancing issues here and there such as a certain dungeon that everyone knows and loves... the Royal version of, and then we have Royal, which fleshes out the story a bit more, makes said certain dungeon NOT BE ONE STUPID SONG ON LOOP FOR 5 YEARS WHILE MAKING YOU CONSTANTLY FIGHT ENEMIES, and... well... I guess it does make it pretty easy so I'd suggest playing the game on the hardest difficulty at the start even as a new player
