CT Report of male 61 yrs : " Area of consolidation noted in basal segment of left lower lobe as superior segment of right lower lobe with multiple tiny noduls giving tree in bud appearance.. # Minimal left plural effusion noted . #Traction bronchiactisis changes noted in upper bilateral and middle lobe. #Signaficant fibrotic changes with interstitial changes noted along bilateral upper lobe. Rest of the bilateral parenchyma appears normal in attenuation. Rrachea and major bronchi appwars normal. No signaficant medisstinal lymhodanopathy seen. The heart and medistinal vessel seems normal. Thoracic vertebrae sternym, ribs ,chest wall normal. Post kochs sequel in upper lobe. Moderate size consolidations and tree in bud nodules in bilateral lower lobe. Is this IPF ? . A serious or self limiting condition ? Sir please give your experts opinion.

Excellent explanation. I’m suffering from CTD ILD with 14 years ago with fibrosis and honey combing too. I’m on immunosuppressive drug MMF and sometime steroids too. But I’ve no SOB no cough but I’m on oxygen therapy. Doctor haven’t started antifibrotic as yet. 🙏❤️🇳🇵

Sir, Iam diagnosed for Rheumatoid Arthritis some 9 months ago. HRCT revealed scarring in lungs. PFT normal. with moderate restriction. I am 82. No cough. No shortness of breath. No fever. SPO2 oscillates between 94 and 98. Doctor did not prescribe medicine as there are no symptoms. I do spiro meter excercise, besides pranayama. I walk 45 minutes with ease. I feel tired amd and feel like lying down after I work for one hour. My eyes have moderately become dry. I am taking eye drops . Can ILD be reversed. RA is under control. Kindly advise.

You said you are 82 years With watever symptoms you have mentioned, your dpctor is correct in not giving any ILd medicines since we have to look at age, level of restriction, pft, spo2 and other range of findings to prescribe. Keep a healthy and active lifestyle

Sir my mother is 60 and she is also having same problem but our doctor is giving steroids omnicotrex 40 mg Her HR CT scan is showing honeycomb structure in right lung. Do we need to worry about and what should we do to get her well?

@@amitchib9056 sir age 60 aur 82 me farak hota hai. 60 yrs old patient ke liye ham aim karege ki vo ek acchi quality life nikaalein next 7-10 yrs. isliye shayad aapke doctor ne unhe medicines diye hai. next baat ki lungs me honeycomb structure hone ka karan kya hai uske according medicine di jati hai. Honeycomb usually ek lungs me nahi hota jaisa aapne mention kiya hai. Aapke doctor pe trust rakhiye aur ilaj karvaiye.
