I would weld the alternator pulley to the flywheel “pulley” and use shaft key long enough for both for extra support. I’ve seen a fair bit of those key shear off on gokarts.

I laughed at your driving sound effects! Back in the 70s there was a hobby shop that had a HO track and the old man would lose it over anyone that dared to add sound effects.

I would probably get thrown out of there lol I love sound effects. It drives my wife nuts.

Man that is super cool. You could easily put a belt drive air compressor for the suspension. Also how cool was the low speed idle with that large flywheel. Looks like it'll idle at about 200 rpms. Hahaha I found you on the ticky tok and had to follow the build on your KZbin. Thanks for sharing your talents and adventure

That not good at all with 12 thousandths of runout with much your crankshaft adapters going to break eventually off the fly wheel that if the pilot pin if self does not break first you really need this at 1 to 2 thousandths of runout don't be surprised if you get clutch chatter or off wall noise. PS your motor and transmission mount plate look like is way too thin while this is a great idea there are just some things you don't want to skimp on like your clutch alignment is one area you want get this 100% centered as must possible so you don't end up with clutch breakage due to fly wheel centrifugal forces.

@jamesaucutt82842 жыл бұрын
Behind the flywheel on the engine there is also a alternator not a high output but it should be enough to sustain a battery because generally with the engines that have the electric starter will also have the alternator behind the flywheel

You are a very talented man not many people have what you have to be able to fabricate the way you do a lot of people dream of being able to figure out the things that you do and putting it on paper and making it happen it’s exciting to be able to watch how you do what you do I just wish I had that type of knowledge I can work on semi truck engines change clutches work on transmissions differentials at the ability to mathematically figure out how to fabricate something the way you do that as easy as it seems I generally screw up a lot when I try to fabricate. Keep up the good work buddy just remember you are very talented

@@jamesaucutt8284 Those are extremely kind words brother. I too was a diesel mechanic. Just not on your level. I use to know a lot but forgot most of it. In fact that is how I became a journeyman lineman. Through that job. A friend asked if I wanted to join the union to become an apprentice and history changed. I’m 48 now. I’ve been building cars since I was a teenager. Always failing, but learning from my mistakes. Believe or not doing what I do is no different than doing what you do. You are mechanically inclined!!! That is the biggest piece to the puzzle. Never ever give up. I may not build it perfect, but I will get it done. 😊 The next one gets easier and looks better. I truly appreciate you brother. Thank you for those kind words. 😊🤙🏻❤️
