This entire mission is an homage to Ultimate Spider-Man game. Insomniac was the ONLY good choice to make a Spider-Man adventure after Activision treated it like shit in their final years of adapting this property.

If you do new spiderman game, you do research on how previous titles handled similiar characters and so on. Its clear that additionally to this developers knew people love Ultimate Spiderman game that is almost ALL about Venom.

The closest we’ll ever get to an edgy symbiote game is prototype which is kinda like playing like carnage because the devs need the main character to be either a poc, an alphabet person or a female and we can’t have those being evil because market stocks go down when not inclusive 🫃🤓

@@Bluesit32 the symbiote is still inside Harry's blood, plus dr. Connors said to destroy the symbiote the host has to die. Technically they could bring venom back with carnage the sane way venom was brought back into the ultimate comics

@@Bluesit32 it left traces of the symbiote in mac gargan when him n anti venom fought. Plus insomniac could've easily added extra dialoge or a cutscene to show the symbiote isn't in Harry's blood but they didn't

@@kimonoda115 They didn't show that it was still present in Harry either. Anti-Venom never finished with Gargan. He got away before the purge was complete. I will grant you though that Insomniac made the Anti-Venom symbiote super weak though, so it's possible. All the times Peter got covered in Venom goo and not once did it seem to prevent that.

Fun facts: This piece of gameplay might be a little taste of what will be doing in the venom lethal protector game Venom originally was going to have the spider logo that we saw in the comics This version of venom has to be the most violent one in the games Sadly the finishers aren't canon, so venom didn't breaked the back to someone or eaten the face of a guard in the escape sequence 😔

I've literally been dreaming about playing as Venom ever since they announced Spider-Man 2 and Venom and Kraven were front and center villains of the game. When I started playing as him, I literally had tears of joy playing as Venom, knowing that he's always been one of my favorite villains/anti heroes ever #WeAreVENOM

The only Spider-Man games I've ever played were Insomniac's, the ones based on the Raimi movies, & Shattered Dimensions so I can only imagine how it felt for most people playing as Venom again

There *needs* to be a dlc or update which allows you to play as Venom outside of this misson. Whether it's in free roam (as it's own self-contained mode), some new missions or even some kind of wave mode. Otherwise, it's such a waste when you consider the effort that went into making a whole new moveset with a character who plays so differently to Spiderman. His own game would be cool but.. that would mean waiting several years. 😂
