1. Catnap's "nightmare form" is so simple but brilliant. Its absolutely terrifying. 2. Am I the only one who feels like Catnap himself deserved a bit more screentime? Like maybe there should have been a section where he chases you in a larger complex filled with the red mist or smth

On the one hand, i do wish there was some sort of chase of something else in the middle of it. On the other hand i do like how you see him in scattered shots before your final encounter, having a legit chase does take away from the fact that he's meant to be stalking you.

I honestly don’t like his gas form but in one of the trailers it showed footage of catnap in the smiling critters area which I think would be a amazing chase scene (or maybe even a stealth section with a catnap ai)

I never understood this until now, but catnap doesn't actually change and it's only a hallucination of the gas that we see of him in a nightmare state, as once jumpscared he's looking normal.

It is, that's why he flips back to his actual appearance when he kills you and why you need to shoot a flare at him to see if he's actually there at all during the boss fight. Nenaa having the gas mask is a bug (release day had SO MANY bugs), Catnap was supposed to take it in the councilor's offices.

@@Momo_Minomo I saw that, and I thought they fixed the bugs. They had to move the release date for the chapter from December to the day before the end of January to fix all the bugs in the game. I guess they forgot to fix the last of them before they released the game.

People think catnap was a bad villain because he wasn’t in it enough, but he was actually the most well thought one yet. During the entire story, catnap has been watching you, everything you do, he sees. He is simply toying with you, like a cat. That makes him way more terrifying then the other 2

I mean Catnap appears more than Huggy and Mommy, but the chapters length makes it seem like he appears far less. Even before all three of their last part, Catnap served as a far better antagonist that both Huggy and Mommy, Huggy's part was largely static until the last part, mommy appeared very clearly and her scenes before the last part were just her monologing, Catnap stalked you and during that hallucination sequence it felt like he could get you at any point.

He's like Death from Puss in Boots. They don't get much screen time, but they maintain a strong prescience and only pop up a few times so they can better suprise you and keep you on edge.

@@cerg3212 (Sorry I'm late) Just to point out its a glitch. In the consolers office at the end of that section. Catnap fills the room with red smoke and then jump scares you and takes away your gas mask. As quoted by ollie 'he'll take away anything that can defend yourself' So the gas mask prevents you from hallucinating and dying too red smoke.

I like the idea of a version under the influence of the Red Smoke. Imagine coming out of Home Sweet Home, when we run into Kissy and Poppy only this time we see Nightmare versions of both. We end up panicking, running away and Kissy has to chase us down. Que a chase around Playcare, us trying to keep away from Kissy but she eventually catches us, carries us to the lift and takes us up to the catwalks above the smoke. Once there and away from the smoke we calm down and Poppy does her explanation.

I died to this so many times, because I thought it was actually the boss fight. I kept trying to move around him and plug in the battery, but it didn't work. Leave it to me to not notice the glowing blue wire that leads to the elevator. I suppose that thinking the fight with Catnap would be so stupidly simple was me underestimating the developers, so I suppose a few deaths was deserved there anyway.

Forever Neena's perspective where she drops the blue square whatever thing scared the hell outta me lmao. Flinched so hard I got a headache. I like how CatNap got pushed away once the elevator started. Dashie's silence was pretty funny too. Then Razzbowski getting chased without the gas mask was pretty interesting to see. I like how you can topple barrels over as seen in Domplays.

I kinda love that we got Sonic.exe forms for both Catnap and Huggy Wuggy this chapter lol. Scariest jumpscare in the game imho was Ollie telling you to run and turning around to see Catnap peeking at you from the doorway. They didn't even need to cheapen it with an ear-bursting jumpscare sound, him being silent and creepy was terrifying enough. Any chance we could get a KZbinr reaction compilation for that scene, please?
