The announcements are a bit weak, but the chuff and whistle are top notch. I remember about 10 or 15 years ago at York someone was selling digital sound systems for the Noma Station. REALLY COOL.

That does sound good, better than the Flyer records I have heard. It sounded better in the station than out of it. Apparently the building helps to define the sound.

My Great Grandpa hired onto the Pennsy out of Crestline OH after WW2 in 1948. Not much left of the PRR there anymore. I was actually a bit shocked to hear the town mentioned.

So i have one of these too....😃 I've been thinking about doing a repair video on this. Your video will be helpful since I"ve not gone inside mine yet. I think mine has 4 records. What I did initially is I have a portable record player that can play at 78 RPM and I can play these separate either with a HI-FI or I can record them to a computer. I'll have to dig mine out again and play them. Also think yours is playing a bit fast, the voice shouldn't sound like Spike Jones!

I have a cd which has these as well as a bunch of AF and Lionel recordings. It was published maybe 20 years ago so it may no longer be available. Portlines had a single chip player that had one of the recordings on it but it was pretty flimsy construction and mine quit working. I have an original NOMA station that my dad bought way back in the mid 50's. One bit of trivia, NOMA was a major manufacture of Christmas lights back then.

I've seen yours in your videos and it is a green variant. I believe these are more collectable and less common than the red.
