My story is similar, Anita. Diagnosed with SCLC with a 93 % mortality rate and 1/2 way through the chemo it was clear it wasn't working. I took it as a wake up call and started selling everything and simplifying my end of life so there would be little to tend with. I knew I had some time to fulfill my life's purpose and was still stalemated with HOW to do it. The happier I became with doing that, the better I felt. Six months later the CT scans showed the cancer was gone. My current job is coming to an end in March or April and I needed this video. Clearly Spirit has led me to you for the answers I needed. You are an amazing lady and I am blessed to have found you. Thank you for all you do.

My parents used to label me as "sensitive", in a negative way. So I grew up being the guy who always felt like a black sheep. Being the middle child, that feeling compounded for over 20 years. Love the Unicorn too! You should be able to support yourself. Health professionals make a living. Even clergy makes a living. Fleecing people is very different. You give so much for free. There is nothing unethical about selling books and making appearances. Buying those things is voluntary. You don't promise to cure cancer. Your integrity is intact. :-)

Sometimes, when you do something for free, you place an obligation on the other person they may not appreciate. Most people prefer to 'pay their own way', and doing something for them for free may put an unconscious debt on them. If you allow them to pay you, that money alleviates them of that obligation. It needs to be balanced and fair. Not healing someone because they CAN'T pay you would be harmful, but allowing someone to pay you if they can, would be fine. You may also be pleasantly surprised with a 'pay what you think is fair' system.

Thank you for speaking so eloquently on a sensitive subject. I totally agree. In ancient cultures shamans doing healings in their community were looked after, as it is just an energy exchange. Why is it OK to pay the appliance repairman, yet healers are expected to provide a service for free. It’s all just an exchange of energy. ❤️

As a Medium, I have run into this constantly. One of the reason's I was able to reconcile this is I realized that this is a fair exchange and that when you give someone something for free, they often discount what you tell them because they do not put a value on it. When you take another job to support yourself, you cannot devote yourself to helping those who truly need it.

I know it is two year later to comment but this message is timeless- thank you Anita! I was born in Transylvania and growing up in a community that was a grievously persecuted minority- never dare to “charge” whatever I service or help gave away from my God given talents. I wasn’t even allowed to study for the subject I choose to improve myself. Later I was able to find my way to another country, I believed my country because I studied theology, psychology and early childhood education on my natal language. I had the same experience as previously mentioned in my born country. I was struggling even more- I immigrated to Canada- and cannot say that the situation changed- now, hearing your message from your personal experience totally makes sense. Ive only just found you from an NDE channel. Ive been chronically sick for 10 years due to giving away my energetic and physical aspects of myself. I go into prisons, jails, boys & girls group homes etc. I’ve been shot twice and a bullet still left in me. I almost drowned and still can’t swim. Thank you so much Anita. I had a tunnel experience when I had cancer on my left calf and I was being operated for a major surgery to remove the tumor. As the anaesthesia set in, I was pulled onto some kind of a vehicle by a silver haired woman and her assistants who were all wearing some kind of red outfits. Then we all leapt into a brightly lit tunnel that zoomed speedily to a strange humming sound. Later when the doctor wheeled me into recovery, a friend of mine was waiting to see me along with some friends and my brother. What she said after I recovered astonished me. She had been praying for me with her family and the humming what I heard on that experience was exactly that... Vibrations!

As I listen to you, I have tears run down my face. I struggle with this daily. I have gone through so much loss so much pain and my body now aches to help others. I discovered that this is my true calling and higher purpose ( after Covid hit late March 2020) ! I love the idea of helping people reach the health and wellness goals and support them in their journey to create better habits ! recently I started to doubt myself though and worry about being financially successful as a coach ! I’m SO grateful that you made this video! The universe brought this video to me because I can relate 100%. I’m empathic and have always had a passion to help people in any way. Ever since I was little girl. Now I work for free providing help to those who were a part of a religious cult and those leaving religion. I was also told by someone on my Channel that all of my info should be free and that I am using this new “coaching thing” as a way to exploit as well which absolutely was never my intention. Anita I too get this. As a former investment banker I was envied for making lots of money but as a now spiritual teacher I often hear that I should work for free. That being said, many come to me to learn how to manifest money yet resent the exchange of value. Somehow we equate spirituality with foregoing abundance. This is why humans struggle. We separate the two and as you stated, people resent paying for what is even more valuable than a regular job. When I ask them if they would give me their services or products for free they are appalled. Humans are funny creatures. You deserve to be rewarded. Anyone who questions that is living in a lack mentality. I am happy to reward someone for a job well done. And you certainly rank as someone who doesn't need to explain yourself!

Hi Anita, it sounds like all the people working in Corporate world are weird:-). I work in a Corporate and I put my heart into my work to give kindness and love to my colleagues. I am grateful for this job because I am a single mum and it makes my life easy due to the financial stability, flexibility etc. I admire your story and I read your book over and over again. This is bringing tears to my eyes! As an empath/HSP, I'm finding myself out of sync with my toxic (and increasingly stressful) corporate job. I would love nothing more than to heal and inspire people, but can't seem to get it to catch on and make money doing so...I wonder if it has something to do with growing up being told I'd be a "starving artist", so I needed to be "reasonable" and take a "normal" job. I now know that is a limiting belief, but can't seem to get past those blocks no matter what I try (prayer, meditation, fasting, working towards my dreams by having a website/KZbin channel...the whole shebang!). Are there any artists/healers out there with tips on how to get out of corporate America and making money doing what you love? I love the tips given here, but I suppose I need additional guidance on transitioning out of the corporate world. It feels so soul-less and breaks my heart that some people can't see there is so much more to life...I see the invisible prison, but can't seem to break free (at least not yet, I still have hope!) Look up dr Joe dispenza. Especially his breathing technique. Try some of his guided meditations. Listen to some of the testimonials from his workshops. He is onto something powerful and beautiful!

On a very practical level, if you feel caught in your job due to finances, I advise to look at your monthly overhead expenses and ask yourself what changes you can make to make your monthly expenses dramatically lower. For example, whether you own or rent, you could have a roommate or two and bring in extra cash that way, some people use a room or two to bring in guests via AirBNB. You can use a small space heater in your bedroom and keep the rest of the place at a much lower temperature and thus lower your utility bills. You can use other means of transport to cut down on gasoline usage. You can shop for your food and supplies at dollar stores.

Hi Rebecca. A little late to comment, but in 2014 I trained as an EFT wealth coach with Margaret Lynch. I was never a success because I needed more of the healing for myself. However! Margaret's book Tapping Into Wealth is absolutely brilliant at uncovering your limiting money beliefs. There are 5 different types of money, and each has a different emotion behind it. Plus there are shadows relating to parents, failures from previous goals, worthiness issues, blocks to being visible - it is well worth a read. I haven't found anything as thorough since. Now that I'm starting up something new, I need to read it myself again! Xx

I relate to what you are saying completely. I think the reason that people say things to make you feel bad for charging for your services is because they just don't want to have to spend their money to get help. They would prefer to use that money for other things. I have seen this many times where people take advantage of people like you while using the money that they have for things that they don't need and may actually be hurting them as well. People spend money on things that are provided by that corporate world without a second thought as to how wealthy they are making that company's CEO but they don't want to help someone who is doing something good for them.

I was given an inheritance and used the money to to create a community based non-profit. There were many people who told me that what I was doing was all about me, me, me. It seemed so odd to me that if I were to have bought a fancy car, or house, or an inground pool, then no one would blink, but starting a non-profit and sharing my wealth was all about me. I had to come to realize that I could not let those beliefs of others change my path. I love when you said to "live your life fearlessly and to just trust". Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have no guilt about how I have decided to share the love and joy in my heart. What a beautiful life it is to live in integrity with the desire to see people's lives uplifted.

Anita, thank you so much, you are lovely and funny, and such a valuable addition in the world....I totally get and resonate with every word! I believe with every fiber in my body the we need to go after our heart, after our passion. I am healing from corona these days, and I had all the time to reevaluate my life and it was no coincidence that I came across your interview about your NDE , then I downloaded your book “dying to be me” and this made me understand that I kind of derailed from my purpose. I am a life coach and an empath. I was struggling financially. So I joined the corporate world but it didn’t take long before I started to feel I wasn’t where I’m supposed to be, even though I was doing well because it involves people, and I love people. But still, I felt I was straying away from my true self. Thank you, I do hope to meet you some day. Thank you for being you, being love and having that drive you and others.
