Hello Vinny, this was truly an informational video that is outstanding. I may have mentioned in other videos that one of my jobs as a counselor was working in a residential training center for the blind and deaf. At the center there were specific classes for personal care Dash grooming and blind residents attended these classes for weeks or even months to learn these types of tasks. I am blown away that you not only Learned to shave on your own, but keep a rather handsome beard. Not being a man, I would think that shaving and maintaining a beard is more difficult than clean shaving a face. You did your techniques just like the professional blind teachers would teach their clients. Truly this can be shared as a fantastic instructional video for the newly blind as well as people with normal vision who always wonder, “who shaves your face for you“. This task shouldn’t be taken for granite either because I recently saw a video from Molly Who was showing how she was shaving her legs for the very first time in her life that I think about age 27, being functionally blind all of her life and being so accomplished. So it is not an easy task to initiate and the fact that you just took on the “I can do this“frame of mind in instead of, “I can’t do this”, well, that just shows that if you can think it, you can do it. Excellent video! Love Beverly

Thank you so much Beverly for your kind words and yes I remember you tell me what used to do for work. I always have to make sure I look good for my wife so I try to keep the best beard possible. I told her I wanted to shave it completely off and she screamed at me know! She told me I'm ugly enough. LOL She didn't really say that. But, I thought it was strange cuz this question was asked me quite a few times not just on KZbin but in real life. So I thought it'd be important to make a video about it. I've listened to other videos of people that are visually impaired shaving so I almost did not do it but I thought it was a very important topic. also I've had so many things going on I had to make a more simple video. Just wait for the next videos are coming out cannot wait for everybody to know all the cool things I got to do lately as a VIP. Keep your ears posted. Again thank you Beverly you're always so kind and I love love love your comments.

I didn’t realize you had a beard. I always pictured you as a smooth face kind of guy. I grew a beard once and I just didn’t enjoy it, now I just keep clean shaved. Great video! Thank you Vincent

I have sported a beard since my mid-20s. Don't even know if I could live without a beard now. I've had it so long. It's a part of who I am Although, I trim it really short. So it's very close to stubble. I always threaten my wife by saying I'm going to shave it all off and she tells me no. She can't envision me either without the beard. Lol one day though I'm just randomly going to do it and we'll see if we end up in divorce. Hahaha

Great job. I always think it’s funny when someone asks me, “who shaves you?“ I do hope this helps anyone losing their vision to be a bit more confident. Thanks again for posting
@myvisuallyimpairedlife5674

Thank you so much for the reply. I just always felt it important to trim your beard cuz there's nothing worse than food and your hair or hairs up your nose. Lol how to figure it out somehow. But being serious it was a question that was asked me quite a few times on KZbin and in the real world so I figured why not make a video. I've met quite a few people that are recently blind or visually impaired and they just stop altogether taking care of themselves. It's always a sad thing to see or be around.

Hee! Big smiley! Sometimes when those tiny raised numbers are hard to distinguish in the print format, like on the shave guards, that's a nifty thing that my thinner, pointier stylus like the one that came with the tiny pocket slate, or even the stylus that came with the Janus slate, can help me sus out better than just with my finger tips. It's kind of like a tiny cane that can get the detail between the 3 and 2 more up close when they're so tiny, I use them with my old drafting scale numbers as well.

I absolutely hate and hate is a big word for me cuz I usually hate nothing but I hate electric razors. LOL They make me all rashed up and itchy. I do however like those little micro buzzers. The ones that look like a pen that can go up your nose and then your ears those I like very much because I am becoming an old fart. LOL hair growing everywhere. Places I never knew possible. Hahaha I watched your last video on your station and I saw the new floor. Looks awesome and I could not take the smile off my face when I found out you had a rideable train in the back. Awesome sauce.

Nothing can replace a clean shave at a good Barber shop. I had the same Barber for years until I met my wife. And they were the old style barber shop cut your hair and you back while you up and shave with a straight blade razor. Smoothest shave ever.

I'm still trying to find a way to groom my eyebrowns as a V I P. used to be able to slice silk scarves with them, now I look like I take style tips from Andre the Giant. Got a large magnifying mirror which helped, but focusing for that long, that close to my eyeballs, is just not fun, plus it hurts to focus like that for very long.
