I love the show. It has one of my favourite actors and a lot of mystery. It‘s nice to see people talking about the show. And I am hyped for the second season.

Great to see you took my advice.😂 Glad you liked it! Such an amazing show, can't wait to see where it goes. Trying not to spoil myself by listening to the books.😂 Now go watch Yellowjackets. Maybe not on the level of Dark, Severance or even Silo but still a fun watch with lots of mystery. Good to see your channel growing, keep up the good work!

Sounds like a metaphor for real life. We all live in our comfort zones of our normal jobs.. afraid to change them afraid of change because we like the safety of the comfort. Even you by making these videos have broken out of your comfort zone so good job on that because they’re great videos and I need to watch the show. Thanks for introducing me to something new.

I find the Pact to be the character that never gets acknowledged as the true villain. What scary AI came with the social rules for each SILO so that it predicted human behavior so well it provided the upper levels the knowledge of how to deal with rebellion, and what to do, an action plan to keep order!

Where did you get the cool music with no copyright claim?
@nikaknackАй бұрын
Oh I had a copyright claim, so I had to remove it! But I got it all from Epidemic Sound, which is weird that it’s copyrighted when they advertise as it not being so🤔 the outro and intro song - it’s a song I’ve known for years and thought it fit perfectly with the video)
@randomvandom6209Ай бұрын
@ it fit really well. KZbin ‘s copyright claim system is like way over active. I actually know a musician and I’ve used his music with his permission on KZbin and gotten copyright claims . Sometimes I just use music off a GarageBand and don’t get a copyright claim . Then I do use music off of GarageBand and get a copyright claim . Yeah, it’s very confusing and if I did get a copyright claim, I wanted to dispute it my ADHD would not let me focus long enough for that

I watched this show up untill episode 7 then stopped cause I didn’t like some aspects of it. Mainly Julliete… She treats EVERYONE horribly, yet gets she wants out of them. The show advertise her as a loved and respected individual but her actions and interactions don’t reflect them. Usually her interactions go like Jule: Can you help with this EXTREMELY dangerous and risky thing that may get you killed even though in some cases we barely know and trust each other 🥺🥺🥺?? X: No! Are you crazy? You will get us killed!! Jule: you coward, you absolute buffoon. You don’t deserve to live. I know I shouldn’t have relied on you!! X: ‘sighs’ ok I’m gonna help but you gotta be right about this. This happened with her father, the sherrif, her boss at mechanical, the first mayor, her shadow, her coworkers, the smuggler with the glorious beard, even her mother figure. Not once did we see her use methods of convincing other than insulting and yelling at the people around her yet somehow she is liked and loved by all people of the Silo?? Billings who just recently got to know her, who worked for jurisdical and was planted by them, suddenly trusts her and endangers his life for her. Not because she convinced him . becaaauuseee she insulted him and told him flat out she doesn’t respect him, he’s a spy by authorities etc… Also from ep3-7 was so blank and boring and from what I read and saw from summaries, things don’t change till last episode and are now back to normal during season 2. I had high hopes for this show after the promising first 2 episodes 😩
@nikaknackАй бұрын
I see what you mean, but I don’t entirely agree-mainly because I didn’t notice those things. I’m not saying they didn’t happen, just that I didn’t really pay attention to them. That said, I think that’s just her character; she isn’t meant to be a hero or a particularly likable person. By the way, if you’ve stopped watching the show, are you considering reading the book instead?
@r_nightwing3214Ай бұрын
@@nikaknack Not much of a reader I’m afraid 😂. On the topic of mystery series adaptation. You should really watch 3 body problem. Such a great show so far

@d15p4tch6Ай бұрын
She isn't like and loved around the silo. She is respected. She is no-nonsense. It's the force of her personality and inherent leadership that allows her to manipulate people.
@UniversalConscriptАй бұрын
I assume, these silos are some form of social engineering to create a society of people that are indepentent enough to make their own decisions for the benefit of the community, but not so independent that they question the order of things and cause it to fall apart. I think these silos were not build as a direct response to a global catastrophy, because it would have taken years to build them, maybe decades. The reason that the silos were build could be insidious, a corrupt government that wants to create the perfect worker and our perspective of course would be to rebel, but there are other possibilities. I think the form of the silos gives away their purpose, because they kind of resemble what could be the design for a generation ship. Maybe the sun is dying, the next habitable planet is generations away, but the problem is a human society that can live on that ship, without destroying themselves. That scenario makes your last words in the video pretty funny: "Question everything." Sometimes ignorance is not just bliss, it can be essential for survival.
@nikaknackАй бұрын
And I couldn't agree more with you! That was my initial thought when watching this show, but knowing myself - I would not just sit still, even though it would be essential for my survival.
@leetod6659Ай бұрын
Actually, none of these is the case. The purpose of the silo is hinted at by its name----Silo. Silos are storage facilities used to store resources that will be taken out for use in the future when the time is ready, like seeds, and fuel, among other stuff. Humans, in this story, are seeds, seeds that were stored in the silo because outside is in a harsh time for sowing. Silos took time to build, yes, but the project was conceived over a long period, so they did have time to build it, and the 'global catastrophe' was planned as well. That's why things were unbelievably well-timed.
@UniversalConscriptАй бұрын
@@leetod6659 It could be just a storage facility for people until repopulation of earth is possible, but I think that scenario is less likely, because if that's the case, why limit information? The lack of information sparks people's curiosity, like if it's dangerous outside at all. I think that should be proven time and time again. For instance, they could send people outside without any suit and have them die in front of the camera. That should be sufficient proof. Also why are people finding relics in the first place? If they are so dangerous, why weren't the silos build where they wouldn't find any. The founders even considered them which makes it more likely that this a social engineering project, rather than purely storage. Also, "If cleaning fails, prepare for war." is such a huge escalation. If the survival of the silo is the top priority, then calming everyone down instead would be a way better instruction towards that goal.
