Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the show that got me to change my perceptions of anime and, specially, of Shonen. I previously had seen little to almost non anime and was completely neglected to see it but know I really am enjoying it. Just a year ago I had only seen Naruto (which I really like but inevitably can see it's flaws), Violet Evergarden (I really cried so much while watching that show but it sin of the typical anime mistakes in some places) and unlikely SAO (only seen first season, but what I can say is that show is bad, really BAD). But god, Fullmetal changed my mind. It's just incredible well written, it has awesome characters, amazing worldbuilding, wonderful lessons, well rounded dynamics, great openings (op 1 is just one of my favorite anime intros, it just give you so much audiovisual info in 1:30 minutes that is mind-blowing), a hard magic system that is really logical and practical within it's world (I just feel it is unfair to call alchemy a magic system, it's almost a science of how hard it is). I could keep talking about how wonderful this show is for hours, but I don't wanna spoil. I am really happy you got to see it. For what I heard you like I really recommend you to see Monster once you finish Fullmetal or when you please. You won't regret it

I agree with all the praise for Full Metal!! Being the very first shonen my gf has watched, and seeing how emotionally invested she has become (we balled our eyes out during the last episode), I'm extremely impressed with how well the show develops itself. Personally, I love Naruto. I skipped some of the filler but all around I was really invested the whole time!

thefilminformer I think Naruto is a show you cannot be a fan if you stood for the long run. You invested so much time in the show is almost inevitable. You end up really attached to the characters and their journeys despite the flaws it may have. It has some brilliant parts, the Chunin Exams, the Land of the Waves Arc, the Sasuke Retrival Arc, the Inmortals Arc and the Pain Arc just knock it out of the park. I would just rewatch any of these anyday. But Fullmetal, for me, was other level (The Promise Day arc was a incredible rollercoaster and I loved it, I also sobbed all the last episode) however at the end of the day I may be acting increíble subjective. I am glad for anyone that can enjoy of these anime, at the end that’s what truly matters.

Code geass (my favorite), steins gate (the first few episodes aren’t the greatest but it gets crazy good), Made in abyss (u think it’s all fun and games from the first few episodes , but it is not. Not at all), attack on titan (season part 2 is just amazing and the whole show = 10/10), and angel beats (still haven’t recovered)
