@@ourdailyview When I first started watching your videos I was sad to think Craig will end up just like me. A lot of people are talking about haters. I'm not really sure what that means. Am I a hater? I sure don't want to be. Anyway, I'm 60 with autism. I barfed vegetables a lot when I was little. And I ate a lot of food like you show in the videos like desserts, sodas, cheeseburgers. When I was 30 I was like Craig, a young man, strong, and fat but not too fat. When I was 50 I was 370 pounds and went to the hospital. Now I am 270. My blood pressure and blood sugar are better, but there is some permanent damage. It's a little hard for me to say what exactly is the point of my comment, like maybe it's none of my business and I should not be a hater. I watched your video today and I understand. You're doing the best you can.

What I’ve realized about hateful comments, most of what people say is a projection of what they don’t like about themselves. But, instead of fixing their own problems or changing things about themselves they don’t like they look for something to pick at about someone else. Especially someone they don’t have to see face to face. Makes them feel better, even for a moment. I feel sorry for those ppl. Keep being amazing you guys!!

The brief convo yesterday about what happens with Craig when you are gone was really meaningful to me. We have an extended family member, now in her 50s, with developmental challenges due to fetal alcohol syndrome. Now that her parents have passed, she does not live with siblings, but is in long-term foster care with a family, with services managed by a state caseworker. Definitely a better setting for her than a large institution, which would be the only other option.

Thank you so much for this. You are both really strong, amazing parents. Let me just say that first. I really appreciate that y’all sat down and talked about this. This is one of the BIGGEST struggles for my autistic son. He will be 3 in a few months and he is just now able to tolerate just touching fruit with his finger. He is very limited in his diet and the only “wet” food he will eat is spaghetti and that boy will eat his weight in spaghetti 😂 but give him a strawberry or banana slice and he’s going to throw up the second it touches his tongue. Restaurants have been a no go for the most part too. All that to say this: It gives me a little more reassurance that I’m doing the right things. Having other parents talk about these things helps other parents going through the same thing. Like me. ❤

When you talked about the gag reflex I could totally relate, as a kid I could never eat mashed potatoes because no matter how hard I tried I would gag it back up. My parents got frustrated and didn't understand, but now that we know I have autism I think it was mainly the texture that I couldn't stand, and that at the time we just didn't know I had autism and sensory challenges. Once I was diagnosed so many pieces started fitting together everywhere XD Some foods just don't work, it comes with the territory at times.

I can't get enough of these videos. Craig and I are so similar it's not even funny. Can you do a video on Craig's school experience? Does he play with sensory toys? Yep, I'm a picky eater too, so I get where he's coming from, especiakly with that gag reflex. Ugh! There are only a few people who can get me to try new foods, and if I haven't had something in a while, my mom has to remind me what the texture felt like of whatever I am eating. SPD and autism are beautiful things. :) Keep up the great work.

Nancy and Joe, try to ignore the haters. Behind their phone or computer they're only hiding how depressing their lives really are. I recently lost my best friend of 25 years and finding your channel has been one of the best things that I could say happened to me in the past six weeks thank you for all the video content that you send us. He is a joy and so are your other children I don't want to ignore them

Food brings ppl together and every meal with family and friends is a wonderful and precious social opportunities or events, and it's good that parents and family are helping him to feel comfortable with food and meal times, i am sure he is also enjoying each and every time bonding with his family over all the meals outside and at home.. 😊

As a parent of a child with sensory issues, the gag reflex is amazing, lol! I can't tell you the number of times my child threw up when I gave her new foods. If your son is willing to at least try things, what a win! He just added cooked spinach to his diet with the spinach dip. It's a milestone and most people don't realize that. I'm sorry people judge you, they really don't understand. You are wonderful parents! :)

You guys are great parents! Most people don't know anything about diets. I've been working out and eating reasonably for 15 years and it's not easy and I have pretty good discipline. You only live once so it's best to just enjoy it. My man has fine eating habits! And is in fine shape. I bet my man could move some weights to if he weight trained!
