Lets Talk Curly Perms, Are They A Real Alternative To A Relaxer?

People keep saying the gina curl is the same thing, it is not. I got a WN and my hair fell out. She does not use the same process and probably use more of what is used in white perms

@@KnijMagz no since I wore my hair this way before getting a gina curl. The only way to tell somethings up is when my hair is wet. Especially now since I need a retouch

Yes I watched a couple of them. It was good to see that you liked it in the end after hating it when you initially had it done. It’s not cheap though. For my length I think it would be in the 1-2k mark 😬

Jeri curl grew my hair back in the day. Wave nouveau caused me a lot of hair loss. I stopped getting any curl after that.

Nice video! I considered the Gina Curl at one point but I opted for Thermal reconditioning instead. I had been natural pretty much all my life and as a guy, I wanted to change it up yet find something I could grow my hair with. I have texturized, permed, dyed, and locked my hair in the past. I like all of those styles but I wanted something different this time around... Im pretty sure this time I will stick with this.

You talked about a double process. Both perms are double-processed. If you’re talking about neutralizing, both techniques are double-processed.

No you can't. You have to transition in between the two chemicals.

LOL she really isn't. I wrote this article back in 2013 when gina curl wasn't even a big thing. I only just recently made it into a video for the channel. In any case who would sponsor my little channel that gets a few hundred views per video at the moment at most?

I love my Gina Curl! I had a Wave Nouveau and Wave by Design Essentials in the past and the Gina Curl is totally different. It looks more natural and is easier to maintain. I also am noticing better length retention than the Wave and WN curls! I just got my first GC retouch and she is so healthy 🙌🏾. I traveled 6 hours for get my hair and it’s absolutely worth it. (Wish there were more certified stylists but hey 💁🏾‍♀️I will drive to the DMV in the meantime).
