You gotta try out Gabriel Oak, it smells amazing and it's not that hot magenta like on their website. It's more subdue in person. Alnwick also has great scent but weaker

I hope you love Roald Dahl. I find him very healthy, very fragrant and an all round favourite. I garden in the UK, so different conditions. Eustacia Vye flowers all summer for me but I have given her a little mid afternoon shade and I think that's helped.

Love all your feedback. The blooms so far for Roald Dahl have been a wonderful addition to the garden. Cannot wait for next year when the rose is more established and blooms or strong.

I saw a reel on Instagram of a Desdemona hedge. I went Desdemona crazy and ordered 16 potted Desdemonas from DA to recreate it along my back wrought iron fence. Waiting for them to be delivered. 😄

LOL. It'll be a nice and fab fragrant border! I got 5 this year for a small courtyard white border with boxwood too. Plus a rose tree which is getting wider with lots of buds. Love this rose!

Desdemona started my DA journey for me and she is my favorite! I have a couple in a pot and they flanking my front porch. That beautiful scent as I come in to the house is just wonderful! ❤

I have Emily Brontë and she is the strongest smelling rose I have. I put her in my bedroom and her scent fills my entire room.

I have the lady gardener too and I can attest at how wide it gets. The blooms are very large.

​@@intheglennI'm sorry, Glenn, but my Emily Brontë already has open flowers and she smells so good. It has a fragrance that's something between a tea rose and fruity, and it's very noticeable. Maybe yours needs more time to establish itself. It's strange because it's her first spring with me and you have a similar climate to mine

Right now you won't be able to buy any DA roses here in the states. I'm sure Jude will be available as a bare root again in the Spring.

Hi ! I heard that about fragrance, David Austin roses can take a few years to develop them...How long has Elizabeth been in your garden ? I added Desdemona this winter and I love her ! Already flowering ! I also added lots of other ones, I need to make a rose tour video soon, so I can remember this first flush once winter comes :) Can't wait to see yours !

I have had Emily Bronte for 2.5 years. She was actually my very first David Austin rose. Unfortunately I just can’t find a fragrance. 😔😔

I agree EB is the most lack luster, dull, fades in 5 minutes, ho hum borging rose. EB is like school on sunday, NO CLASS

Emily def has a lot to offer, but I'm glad I am not the only one who doesn't find a scent.

Weird, isn't it?! I can't smell anything from Desdemona and a huge amount from Emily Bronte!!
