Oh by the way I have a very important question, I have this same PPQ M2 and it came with a extra spring for rubber balls, now I have ordered the pepper balls that you recommended, do I need to keep the same spring that is inside the gun to use the pepper ball or do I need to change to the extra spring that came inside the box? Any helpful tips on this would be helpful if you have any that’s important.

I appreciate all the work you do. I was checking around on the internet concerning modifications to the ppq43 caliber pistol for increased power. I don't know if these are legitimate modifications or not but what I read was the following to increase the power. Porting the mag deleting the blowback and increasing tension on the spring that actuates the hammer. An individual stated that by doing that using a 2.02 gram steel ball they obtained 465 ft per second supposedly equating to just over 20 joules. I believe they said the second mag still using the same CO2 reduced to 17 plus joules while still staying in the 400 ft per second range. I do not know how to work on these I may not have it exactly right but this is what I read. That would be awesome if this person is being truthful. It was on a Facebook when I inquired about modifications for the ppq43 caliber pistol. You may already know about this just thought I'd try to help. Take care.

Are you actually trying to say that a person would continue to pursue if they took any of those head shots? Just like any other form of self-defense, this is one tool. @@AlternateArmsSD Well,lets be realistic.Its just a .43 what makes 7.5 joules?When you have pepperballs loaded with strong pepper powder maybe it will stop some people.But the power it delivers with nylonballs you wont stop anyone.For that you need a modified HDR50 or a FSC etc.This was tested out meanwhile for some years by many people what gun with what mod makes what damage.

@@sven471111 The pepper balls are more or less the point. I have many modified HDR 50s and I’m working on a video for the modification on the HDP 50 and the HDS68. Ammo does make a difference though. I have another video I’m producing using solid aluminum balls as well. They are actually lighter than the riot balls but they seem to hit with more impact. This could be due to the smoothbore, lack of friction, or overall velocity but I will test that in the video. As far as your comment about “it’s just a .43 cal”, you’re only firing at a human. This is not Iron Man you were shooting at. If you hit a sensitive area, an eye, a neck, a throat, a mouth, or ideally you’re using pepper balls, this will absolutely stop anybody. Yes I said, this is one tool and yourself defense arsenal. Not the only tool. Thank you so much for watching! Welcome to the family :-) I love a good conversation.

Hey man, the T4E launchers (Glock, Walther, S&W, and the VP9) have a pretty heavy trigger pull. If look into a byrna SD, salt supply S2, or perhaps the HDP50. They are much lighter trigger pulls and don’t charge until you need them.

What are the laws on concealing or open carrying this type of gun
@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 2 жыл бұрын
That would depend on your state. Most states classify these as air weapons, which is to say no different than paintball guns. I have a lot of customers that are truckers that use them because they can carry them across state lines safely. However, keep in mind, some states will allow them, but will not allow the use of pepperballs so you have to stay with a kinetic rounds. I would say check for the state you’re traveling into, out of, or through.

@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t had any crack yet. However, I have a tendency to change out the pepperballs every 6 months. Environmental conditions can greatly degrade the plastic over a period of time. Heat, cold, and heavy moisture will affect them. However, you can use a very light bead of superglue on the seam as well. You will still get an impact break, but it might stop some of your leaking issues.

@@AlternateArmsSD that’s a really good idea. I usually don’t leave them in magazines long term. Not without testing how long they can last under a soft spring. I’ve been doing the same thing. Only when it’s really rainy here I might choose to leave the pepperballs at home and just go with the T4E powder balls. They hurt like absolute hell and they are built rock solid. I’ve left one in water overnight, left one in a mag with a heavy spring for a long time. Those are built really well. Problem is pepperballs are so expensive. And I try not to get away from loading these with anything other than what they are advertised to shoot(out here that could land you in hot water, shooting stuff like aluminum balls in public will likely lead to a criminal charge). With this market starting to blow up there’s so many trying to capitalize and make a quick buck selling garbage.

How long can a CO2 sit in the machine once pierced. Back in the day you couldn't leave one in for a day or two.
@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 2 жыл бұрын
I’ve had one pierced in this exact weapon for a little over a year now. Every now and then I’ll pull it out and pop around off just to verify we haven’t lost any pressure and it seems to be fine. A lot of that boils down to how well you maintain your weapon, making sure that you’re using your pellet gun oil, and the quality of the CO2 cartridges. However, in a self-defense situation, I would suggest changing out about every month or so. Honestly though, you should practice with it a lot more than that :-) considering that every time you practice, you change the cartridge and put a fresh magazine in. Thanks for watching!

Seriously!?! Ya about to get me to order it. I'm tired of carrying my judge. I never want to see the end result from using it in a situation where I could refrain from killing . @@djjonnybong My friend, that is a point that I bring up all of the time. It is always preferable to not kill whenever possible. There are always the “tough guys” that insist that, in any situation that calls for self-defense, they’re going to “blow somebody away“. Those people do not need firearms :-) We do not live in, what I would call, a gun friendly environment right now. If you had to use your actual firearm in a self-defense situation, and you killed somebody, put your hands up because you’re going to jail. The best you can hope for is you did not get some judge that would bury you under the jail for political reasons. And of course, the most important reason, no human being really wants to take the life of another human being. That is something that you would live with for the rest of your life. However, getting that across to some people, it’s just like beating your fist on the wall.

I was just looking at this video a Little closer a few minutes ago. Approximately 1 minute 20 seconds you can see the warning label or white lettering on the right side of the Walther PPQ he's holding. I think he might have misunderstood what you were talking about. They apparently all have it some are underneath the trigger guard though. I don't know about where the Glock has it that might be the one that has it underneath the trigger and the TPM1 I believe you can see it on the slide or real close to the slide on the right side. The talon stick on grips will fit this however if you put them on completely you probably cannot access the back strap hex for installing the CO2 cartridge. If you really wanted to cover that lettering up though you could trim off from the talon stick on grip close to the magazine release area and just use that short part to cover that and not install the rest of that stick on grip. Remember doing that or doing anything else according to what I've read voids the warranty. Also, he said he used denatured alcohol to remove lettering such as that. Again, I'm not recommending you do that just giving you options. It may be illegal depending on what state you live in such as California possibly , I don't know. Hope this helps.

You need to get a nice accurate scale to check your guns/mags for leakage. For my PPQ, I have one mag that hasn't leaked at all for weeks, and another that leaks 0.01-0.02g a day (very negligible amount, but it may get worse?). I keep them pressurized at all times, and check/log the weight each time I need to carry 'em. These devices are designed very well--looks like the things most likely to fail (in my opinion, and from most likely to least): hammer spring, main co2 seal (where the cartridge goes), and firing pin (ESPECIALLY if you like to dry-fire it without a mag inserted). The slide spring may wear out after lots of use, but shouldn't fail all at once. If you value your firing pin and mag rear seal, rack the slide (or make sure hammer is cocked?) before inserting a mag--there are some cases where the firing pin can end up in the way of the mag while it's sliding in... rare, but better safe than sorry, yeh?
@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! They’re also some mods that can be done on this weapon. I’m working on that now and if I can nail it down, I’ll make a video :-) you’re 100% correct about the firing pen though, keeping it racked when load the mag is a great idea and it will save you maintenance later. As far as the pressure, I’ve had one TPM one pressurized for a little over a year now and an HD P 50 for about eight months. Occasionally I will pull them out and Chrono around and I haven’t seen a substantial drop in pressure yet. Umarex is very good about their warranties as well. Alternatively, there are quick pierce magazines for all of their T4E line. That way, it only pressure rises when you need to use the weapon. It’s not nearly as pretty, but it is practical. Thanks for watching!

I would think to avoid wear and tear you could depress the magazine release button when inserting the magazine people are saying it gets caught halfway up or something try that and then once it gets past that release it so it gets past that sticking point. That is assuming it doesn't hurt doing that.

@@AlternateArmsSD I'm glad you're still working on the possibility of some mods for the PPQ 43. I think it would be awesome if you discovered a basic modification to the magazine alone that then could be sold as a high performance magazine and you could insert that whenever you decided you wanted to have more power which might be all the time haha. There may be other more advanced modifications other than the magazine but it would just be nice if a reasonable amount of power could be gotten from a simple magazine modification.

@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 2 жыл бұрын
It’s interesting you say that, I’ve had to use these in an actual self-defense situation. The pepper balls will absolutely stop a person in their tracks. I always find it funny, there’s always one tough guy that has to say “these are not self-defense“. Yet, story after story prove them wrong. Typically, I find the people that say that have never taken a pepperball to the face :-) You need to also keep in mind, we live in an era where if you use your actual weapon in a self-defense scenario, and kill somebody, lay it on the ground, put your hands up, you’re going to jail. You will have to go through that entire process and pray to God you don’t get some liberal judge that buries you under the jail. Self-defense is about more than just firing a weapon and killing somebody. It is about knowledge of your surroundings, practice with a weapon you use, and experience. Also, it doesn’t matter what type of weapon you use. If you don’t practice with the weapon, and you’re not experienced with a weapon, it is an absolutely useless tool. Thanks for watching!
