That one was needing air badly! Very interesting to see how the road through the trees held up to the excavator. Testament to good compaction.

Your road compacting seems help with the rain water and your also a very good fire starter in wet conditions.
@robmatthews7972 Жыл бұрын
Rain & wet is always a good time for Chris to start a fire. Inch and a half in the farm rain gauge should mean your new pond should be 1/3rd full, maybe half.

Would also be a good few days to practice on the dredge. I watched the guy dredge the edges of our 10 A lake. Man he could throw that bucket and load a truck in just a short time. That was something I could watch all day long. He kept three dump trucks busy with less than a 1/4 mile dump.
@justinfufun5483 Жыл бұрын
When you pull up beside the dump truck in the Komatsu it looks huge. When you pull up to the dump truck in the 220, suddenly the 220 looks huge. But when you pull up to the burn pile in the 220, the burn pile looks enormous.

Loved the video! Those unexpected pop-up showers are a game changer for us that work outside. A suggestion. Burn pile has four corners. Been doing this for decades. Four corners. All obliterated in a very short time frame.

Funny you should mention Charlie I've just been watching the video of him doing the first service on Betty, washing out the fuel tank, change the oil filter housing and you getting extremely dirty power washing. That must've been a while back now.

I must say that with age and maturity you are managing those burn piles in a much better way. Still getting them gone without the shear crazy you did when I first found you. Use to be the flames were twice as tall as the excavator could reach but now you have mastered the "slow burn" style. Safer but not as exciting. Makes sense though. Time well spent getting the pile gone when other work is stopped. At least you do not have Karen's calling out the fire departments on you.

You're setting fire to the wrong side all the time. It is necessary to set fire to the side from which the wind blows. And not from the top of the pile, but from the bottom!
@johnleonard5323 Жыл бұрын
Depending on if you're trying to reduce the size of the pile without it turning into raging inferno.
