Your line of work is awesome. I was designing something in my mind to help move this slush&mud more efficiently, but then again you would need a whole fleet of dump trucks. you could feed them much faster than they could haul it away. All that tracking just worsens the problem. Here's my idea. (pretty sure its been done) but why not a horizontal mud pump with a big funnel on the top? A horizontal auger if you will. It too is on tracks with a 360-degree rotation. The output could use a 24 to 36" reinforced high-pressure hose with quick couplings. hey, just daydreaming up ideas. Cheers from the swamps of Louisiana.

Nice job Chris!, Be nice if they would install a couple 100ft. sand conveyor belts anchored to the bottom and convey all the sand and stuff to the shore for loading each year! haha.

mattybeatzkidd that’s not a new machine and it has virtually no slop. That’s a tight machine by NC standards lol.
@letsdig186 жыл бұрын
its got 1500 hours on the machine, things get a little wiggly with those hours with the amount of clearing and sand that gets in there when digging it wears the pins out
@SortaProfessional896 жыл бұрын
@@letsdig18 ohhh okay, thanks for replying. Appreciate the clarification and the information. Haven't spent enough time around heavy equipment to know these things. Its certainly not a lot of movement by any means. I've seen way worse, i just was curious what caused it.

has anybody ever created a conveyor belt device that uses Flotation tires and 2 or 3 of them will stack over each other to be delivered on a low boy or drop tail trailer.. it could use wheel tractor hydraulic drive front spindles. so it could be easily steered .. this would allow you to stretch it out and dump the excavator buckets into the end that get augered on at a steady amount and run on the belts to the next sections.. saving the need to move the same pile several times. retractable wheels like on a super scooper water dropping plane with ski's to support it incase it needs to be pulled along the surface. might have a flat bottom under the ends also.

I have seen something like that as an experiment. But it's not practical in huge scale, you ne something to move it from time to time and there time goes. and time is money now a day.But your right when working it would be a lot faster transporting the mud to the pile.
