Maybe the developers thought the player would have an emotional attachment, and therefore not put them in the position to fire. At least canonically, Bonds won’t have that on his conscience. GG! 🚔

I think it's mostly because Jim walls was very traumatized by someone he put away that shot at him and escaped from jail and sent him debt threats. Sometimes things that inspire us in real life are stranger than fiction, but yeah, I would have liked to have seen Sonny Bond's work at least one major case that did not involve Jesse Baines in some way. 😂

You do want to uncover Morales' corruption, otherwise she does shoot Sonny dead in the final area.

So if you don't notice the hospital's mistake, Marie stays in a coma? I can just imagine the Jim Walls screen where he's the one telling you about Marie's pregnancy and that you will have to raise the child alone.

If there was ever by some miracle a new Police Quest game, I would love it to star their daughter entering the police force, who I think should be named Kathy Bonds, after Jack Cobb's daughter who passed away in the first game.... And of course the villain should be Jesse Baines estranged daughter, Jessie Baines 🤣

Yep, very true! And I do kind of consider this the end of the series even though other titles loosely bore the same name, it wasn't anywhere near the same after Jim left.
