The last line of that first story was so touching, I just sat there mouth open. I had to pause, process it and cry a little. As a person who 1. was an acloholic 2. ended up on a psych ward over alcoholism and suicidlal ideation 3. made a great friend during my time there after years of living life with literally no friends and lastly 4. is an athiest but still swayed into nearly painful starstruckness by the concepts of unconditional forgiveness that exist in the bible and specifically in jesus christ, I can tell you that this story will stay with me forever. At least one commentor described it as bittersweet but to me it's so pure. The lowness, the connection, the heartbreak, the horror...and the reconnection. I want to wear this "story" like a gem above my heart for as long as I will remember it.
@margaretmarr111 ай бұрын
I hope you're no longer an atheist because God loves you and Jesus died so you could go to Heaven and spend eternity in peace❤

The first story finally explains why psych wards go out of their way to put you in rooms with someone else. To keep people from doing something stupid... Good to know. I've stayed at multpile, and so far, it was just an annoyance, but it's good to know there's a reason.

The guy in Story 2 really p*ssed me off for some reason, maybe just how they acted with the dispatcher about getting critical info. People who call 911 and then want to play childish "I'm too grossed out to look" games with the operator are so infuriating.

As someone who has spent most their childhood and teenage years growing up in Byron Bay and Mullumbimby, there is a very dark side to both towns (more so Byron); but the media does their best to hide these sort of thing, as they don't want it to affect the amount of tourists that visit each year. The cops seem to be equally pathetic, as they are a lot more interested in arresting teenagers for the smallest amount of weed. Don't get me wrong, it's is a very beautiful place but there is a ridiculous amount of crime that goes under the radar. My mother bumped into Theo's father when he arrived in Byron, she offered her condolences and ended up embracing Theo's father in a consoling hug. As you can imagine he was completely distort and could barely speak through tears, but said he would keep returning to Byron to look for his son. It was heart breaking to hear. On a more positive note; thank you Lets Read for a great report! Unfortunately I have to agree with you in regards to what you think may of happened, and still his happening in Byron Bay and the surrounding area; for all it's beauty there is a dark dark truth hidden beneath.

The case of Theo Hayez is perplexing. I noticed a few things looking at the Aussie news sites on KZbin: most of the comments sections are turned off. What are they hiding? Is there a serial killer in NSW? Or as Joel suggested, a human trafficking ring? The only body of many people gone missing was Thea Liddle, in some abandoned house outside of town. Who gave the cops that tip? When Theo got to the beach, was he alone? I read he watched a comedy clip while there (was he showing someone?) and was on Whatsapp, like all was well. The bartender, or whoever threw him out of the bar sure seems suspect: How easy would it be to drug his drink, throw him out for being intoxicated, then have an accomplice lure him to the beach, then take him? From reading further on this case, the whole thing screams lazy police work. Sorry to obsess, just my two cents.

That first story is perfect for an animated short film, where they feature expressive faces and the video itself has no dialogue, just an emotional piano piece in the background and a sadder ending, with the guy who killed his wife committing suicide and leaving a note for the guy that betrayed him, saying he forgives him for doing that, and he wishes he was there to stop him from doing all of this.

STORY 1 !!! You aint his “BEST FRIEND/ BROTHER.. you gunna call the cops on him are you serious after he SAVED YOUR LIFE!!!.. and that guy didn’t rob that woman of nothing in the United States that’s called “crime of passion”.. let’s say you go home and catch your wife in bed with another man and you killed them both. Of course you’re gonna be charged but you’ll be charged a lot LESS than you would be if you just killed two people on the side of the street randomly, because they account for the feeling you have in the midst of catching them cheating… he didn’t show you anything so you had no proof of what he really did. You could’ve walked out of that car and walked home like nothing happened and if they catch him later on and seen you meet with him all you guys did was talk about life because you know each other from back then….. I think people forget where they come from and now because you have all this stuff going on in your life you forget, you were in that room next to him about to kill yourself and he saved you and now because life is going good for you you’re gonna throw him to the curb, you didn’t have to bury the bodies with him. I understand that completely, but just not calling the police when you leave his car.. that’s just commin decency to the guy who saved your life… do i think its okay to kill someone NO, but when a husband/wife cheats in the own home and bed that they live/sleep in with their partner they know theirs a chance they will get caught and it could have real consequences.. and they chose to do it regardless so … ya make your bed ya gotta lie in it🤷🏾♂️

I have heard that they thought he had gone into a well known homeless camp and was there for some time, maybe 20 mins? and then he was known to be walking faster than his normal gait - also sometime later his cell was switched on and then off - could that be because someone murdered him for his phone?
