I agree. I always prefer things that could actually happen in the real world. I hate when i listen to the first 5 minutes of a story then once I'm invested i realize it's about some nonsensical paranormal entity. That's why Scream is one of my favorite horror/killer movies.. It doesn't involve a demon or ghost or a cheesy guy back from the dead that when they chase their victims is always only a few steps behind them even though the victim is sprinting but the bad guy is just leisurely walking.. I need realism.

Currently crying because of the last story. My son is 13 non verbal autistic, this year has been extremely hard with no school and no therapy. Today especially is a very hard day. I needed this story today to remind me that one day I'll be gone and much like the guy in this story my son will be looking and missing me someday like this. I need to make the best of the day and be less overwhelmed. Also, I whole heartily thank this man for being so kind to him after all those years and understanding the struggle he goes through. Touched my heart.

I gotta say, not telling them what they did wrong when they're a walking ball of red flags is legit. I had a scammer call my mothers' phone (She's 70, I'm 31) trying to BS about how "illegal information was coming out of my modem" (Her modem) claiming he works for our ISP and how she's in big trouble if she doesn't pay up. Being as I've been schooled on how computers work by my older brother since I could comprehend it, I called him on this as being total bullshit. He asked me what part of it was bullshit, but I refused to say, because *I didn't want him to sound smarter to the next person he'd be trying to scam.* It still boils my blood that some asshole out there was trying to bully my elderly mother out of her money knowing full well she wouldn't know how any of that works (She lives in a senior living complex, so you know damn right that they were targeting her specifically because she's elderly). Y'all, please take care of your older relatives. At the very least, give them a note sheet about what to look out for so they don't get scammed, or let them know they can ask you about that sort of thing. Make sure they know that anyone claiming to be an official who immediately demands money is suspicious and should NEVER be automatically obeyed.

So true. And I want to add, if your older relative is divorced, widowed or for any other reason doesn’t have a partner, talk to them about romance scams. I recently watched a documentary about it, and a sweet, lonely older lady talked about how she had been conned out of tens of thousands of euros by someone pretending to be in love with her, someone she thought she was in a relationship with, and she ended up losing her home and getting deeply into debt. Apparently these kinda scams are becoming more and more common. Elderly people are already vulnerable to scams, add loneliness and longing for a romantic connection and they can very easily become victims. I fucking hate all scammers, but I find these ones especially despicable.

Women we’ve got to stop worrying about being polite and or not minding our manners, when our very lives depends upon it. If your drink seems spiked get the hell out of there, don’t stick around and pretend to sit around and sip it “because he’s just trying to be a nice guy” LEAVE.
@OppoRancisis
@OppoRancisis 3 жыл бұрын
That’s terrible advice, you don’t want to aggravate the person who spiked your drink by trying to leave. If they’re crazy enough to try to take you by drugging you, they’re crazy enough to take you by force.

@@OppoRancisis what you're saying only applies if you're alone with the person or something similar to that. Otherwise it's best to gtfo of there. They're not saying to scream, "How dare you drug me!" stand up, and stomp off dramatically though I think that'd work too because people would instantly be against him. But saying you have to go to the restroom, informing a member of staff/ a friend or friendly face at the party and then slipping out is good advice.
