I always watch movies and yell lat the screen to the characters character who dont freaking run!!! Well, come to find out that is a valid and realistic response to crazy situations. I was in a shoot out and just stood there because I could not believe I was actually in a shoot out. When I finally came to my senses to run I tripped , fell, and got trampled by the crowd of people trying to run....just like the stupid characters in the movies. I am disappointed in myself for that. Now I don't yell at the screen anymore.

Being able to think rationally and calmly in a life threatening situation is a serious skill that a ton of people lack (especially young people). You can be the most masterful Sharp shooter or martial artist but if u choke up under pressure or crack then those skills are useless. An average person with a rational and calm mindset is better than a skilled person who cracks unders pressure. People should know both elements

@JRockyRoad 40 he definitely didn't put all the blame on the bad waiter encounter, he even used the phrase "the straw that broke the camel's back", which means he's aware of all the problems before that were piling up until that exact moment when he'd had enough. And tbh, kinda justified in cancelling the reservation as I'm sure he was under the impression she wasn't all that interested in a valentine's dinner what with the fact that she's never interested in spending time with him. And imagine telling someone to "act like a man" in a situation like that, it's fucked up. Obviously what we're seeing is greatly skewed towards his perspective, there's no way she's the only one at fault for the failures of their marriage but I can definitely see where he's coming from with the info we've been given

The taxi lady is toxic and manipulative (potentially abusive), and if you're in a relationship with someone like that, please know you deserve love and a partner who treats you well. The behaviors of the couple in the influencer story are not just "couple things" as the author suggests. While unfortunately common behaviors (you may have seen your parents exhibit them, even), they are NOT healthy and should not be ignored. If you are in a relationship like that, or are surrounded by people like that, know that you deserve a safe partnership that uplifts both of you. 💛 (And please don't be afraid to break up with someone, even on St Valentine's day, if your relationship is hurting you. It's okay to be lonely and you will both heal with time)

The ex of taxi broad sounded like he broke mentally based on how he responded to her when breaking up. Because he brushed off her tale, I wouldn't be surprised if she was known for lying. Sounds like an emotional vampire. I don't believe her taxi part of the tale. Probably a lie that she's tried to legitimize by uploading it online hoping he'd see. The influencer wife couple clearly had other issues, and the influencer part just exacerbated the problems that were already there. People think that sticking with someone that they shouldn't be with is "making it through the hard times," but those aren't the type of "hard times" you're _supposed_ to go through. You're not supposed to be fighting all the time. It's normalized but not normal. That being said, I don't believe the story at all, just responding to the content.

If you pay attention the whole story is a man hating power fantasy. 1) boyfriend breaks up with her on valentines 2) she's drunk with her friend saying basic but harmless jokes about men, apparently the cab driver is a violent incel that can't handle jokes about sexual prowess 3. He takes them to a cabin in middle of nowhere. Like a Hollywood serial killer trope. 4. Biggest clue for me its fake- her and her drunk friend were easily able to overpower a grown man and steal his gun and car.. one girl just litterally hit him in the face with her keys and it sent him flying back(?) 5. They immediately threw the gun out the window as they drove away... in that life threatening situation I really can't believe that you would so easily get rid of your only weapon and do so so improperly when the guy is apparently still chasing you
