Triple A in very rural areas is useless. Trust me. You can keep a small tote in your car with some basic supplies to work on your car in an emergency. Ask the mechanic who is coming. Get a name. Ask for a name when “help” arrives. I can’t tell you the number of times the guys I have stopped to help said “I’m good. A guy named Sonny is coming”. Nope. The mechanic is Sunny. I’m her. Yup. Girls fix cars too. Lol

And if the laws in your area allow it always carry a gun. If u live somewhere that guns r easily accessible and legal there’s no reason not to carry one especially if you’re a woman it might just save your life one day. And if u do decide to carry a gun don’t just assume that’s all u need to or that if you’re in danger u can just pull it out and they’ll just run away cause even if that is the case 99% of the time u need to be ready for that 1% where they don’t run cause if u pull a gun out and don’t know what you’re doing u might just be pulling out a weapon for them to use on u so make sure u know how to use it and most importantly if y decide to carry a gun make sure u always have the mindset that if I ever take this out I’m absolutely 1000% ready to take someone’s life cause hesitation can get u killed

I don't wanna victim blame, but why didn't Lucy set her socials on private, or delete the accounts completely? I used to work at a 911 call center and this question is the equivalent of "did you try to turn it off and back on again?". Yes, you have the right to post *everything* from your selfie to your *exact* location but why are you surprised when situations like these happen? Again, live your life but also think about carrying pepper spray or if not legal in your area, travel size hair spray. Honestly, I just want people to get home alive. Be careful out there!

That story doesnt make sense.. If Lawrence wasnt supposed to be in the apartment at all that final week but the duck was there the whole time wouldnt the author have heard the duck at least once and thought Lawrence was there and his phone was ringing?? Either the duck decided to be totally silent for a week.. Or the duck never really existed and that part was just made up... Or the whole story is BS and the author slipped up trying to be cute at the end.

Story 4: keep your cats inside, people! Yes, even if they were strays before. It only takes one careless driver, or one psychopath, or one wild animal for the kitty to meet an untimely end. And, I mean, you knew there was a man like this in the neighbourhood. People need to take responsibility when it comes to keeping pets safe. It's not like the cat can understand or heed a warning to stay away from dangerous people the way a kid can. Build a catio in the back to keep the cat entertained, give it access to windows, get it a friend, take it for walks. But don't allow it to roam around outside!
