I lived with a meth head for several years who used to smoke it in the bathroom he did not like me see him smoking it but in all the times I've smelt it I have never smelled cat piss or ammonia or anything like that no he's left this powdery stuff in there they're getting my nose and mouth and I get really angry the smoke was actually kind of powdery smoke And as for the smell smells more like ozone

Hi Joel, I wasn't able to catch up on your videos for a couple of months, my senior pup Cherry got diagnosed with cancer and I was busy spending as much time with her and giving her all the attention, love and palliative care. She passed away a month back (RIP) and I've been feeling very low, almost depressed. I have to tell you I feel relaxed and peaceful when I listen to your voice and the videos. I never realised this so wanted to appreciate you with what lil I can and say thanks for bringing me comfort and calm. You are doing a great job and making a difference and I hope you realise that.

My deepest condolences for your loss.. soul destroying isn’t it? I can’t promise you when you’ll feel better; I’m still crying, on frequent occasion, for my beloved border collie I lost in July 2021! @@LabradorLady aww that's so sweet of you. I'm so touched by your kind words. Not everyone understands what kind of love a pet can awaken in you. She was my greatest love. And I'm sure her love for me was 100x times more. When her time had come she came and sat on my lap, she must have used her final strength to that 💔and then passed away in my arms maybe she thought I could save her... The paintings look completely innocuous. I feel neither fear nor a need to “protect” them. They’re just a couple of average looking paintings made with an intermediate amount of talent.

Reminds me of the Book of Sands stories. Board this bus on this time on this route on this date. Pay the driver in consecutively dated nickels. It’s done correctly, you find a free travel pass in your wallet. If done incorrectly, the bus driver will suck out your soul through your eyes, then rape your dog. Yeah….worth it.

To be honest, when you first did the 4CHAN stories, I assumed the stories were going to be about people's experience on the site but this is much better than I imagined. Every time I'd re-listen to your videos, I'd always go back to this topic and I'm glad you're doing more of these as well as other themes 🥳 Love your narrations! I've been listening since the start of the pandemic and no matter how many narrators I've come across, you're still one of the ones I keep listening to every time ❤ Keep up the good work 🤠

The paintings in stroy 8 are actually kinda cool tbh, I don't find them sinister or creepy, nor do I feel like a parent to them, I reduce them to mere art and capturing two distinct personalities, especially the boy and the intentionality of his gaze, if spooky stuff or unfortunate stuff happens because of them, put them up for "adoption", or burn them.
@CadenceTheSloth2 жыл бұрын
I couldn't help but stare, after the whole story I realised what was 'off' about the boy; less detail and less shading. That with the look on his eyes makes me feel like the girl was given more attention, so maybe he was kinda jealous. I can imagine them both sitting on a bench or couch as an artist or maybe their father painted them. I can imagine the artist as he starts sketching, as he paints, it's clear he's focusing on one canvas more then the other. I can imagine the boy as he sees this. He's probably used to it, everyone gives her more attention. If it was an artist, maybe the boy even had hope for the paintings, maybe he thought this would be fun, that in the end they'd both look nice, but as the artist focused on one over the other, he was probably filled with disappointment and jealousy. He probably even tried to his these emotions, but the eyes don't lie, and the lack of shading around them definitely doesn't.

About the paintings, if anything I think the boy looks somewhat upset to be there but something about the girl reminds me of Ariana Grande in the eyes or something but maybe I wouldn't feel so indifferent otherwise if I were actually in front of the paintings as opposed to looking through a handheld screen. Tbh I picked up some paintings of dead trees/leafless trees from thrift stores at different times in high school and I thought they were both eerie and cool but I'll be damned if MONTHS and months later I noticed a little dude hanging from a branch in one of them! 😳🤯 I didn't keep it because I had no clue if it was portraying Sui or lynching but as someone that struggles with depression and has always fought against racism I couldn't imagine a world where either option were appropriate for me to keep

Hey Joel, great stories, I'm really liking the 4CHAN series. Just posting this because one story stuck out to me, story 6 in particular, because I actually live in New Hampshire, and I believe this is the first time I've ever heard any true story that takes place in NH. I've been through Hillsboro a number of times, but I never really got any strange vibes, however I've only ever been through 149 once to stay at The Wilds of New England. I stayed there for a week, and although some people thought it was creepy at night when the fog rolled in, I never picked up on anything strange. Now, I'm not one to go looking for something mysterious, but this story got me thinking. I don't ever really have reason to go down that stretch of road, but maybe sometime in the future, I'll have to visit it once again.

That road in NH is where my great grandfather stopped the police to tell him my grandfather was holding him hostage and it is creepy if you don’t know the area. Seriously though, there’s a 1700s cemetery in the back woods of Deering right around the corner of 149 that you can see ghosts in according to my childhood lore. Crazy area and a real gem in NH. There’s also a “ministry” there that probably lends to the the eerie feeling of Hillsboro.

I love your channel!! So hear me out. My sister lives in Beecher. I live just east of there in Indiana. Born and raised in Crete,Illinois which is the next town from Beecher. I have worked for the police in that Illinois area for 25 years. There is absolutely no prison or hospital in that area. All of 394 from Beecher is corn fields until you get to those stop lights. You will find a Kohl’s, Taco Bell, Culver’s, two gas stations and a Bible College but you will not find a prison.

this is super random but i really like the way OP wrote story 2. most of these stories are either way overdetailed to the point its hard to pay attention or so little detail you dont catch things. this person, though, made it perfectly where nothing was repeated and minuscule things were implied. idk i just really liked it lol

@story 8...I like the paintings! To me, they look like their mom or older sibling used their budding art skills to paint them. Maybe they are twins and their mom was a housewife who started working on her old hobby or something. They're not creepy at all. They're just paintings. But you're like me, I would be very attached to them and give them names and feel connected as well. You are good-natured, have an enormous heart and very creative. I can tell this from your story. Keep them and DEFINITELY keep the light on at night for them. I would!😊💙❤💙

Tough guy in the military - haha, don’t worry, my feet are fine with these boots Also tough guy - could die of sepsis I had a bad tooth abscess that didn’t take to medication and my face swole up on one side, the dentist told me to take pills he’d prescribed for 5 days (amoxicillin I think?) then get back in touch. The swelling got so bad my eye was forced closed and I was starting to struggle to breathe, this was after 36 hours. So I went to the hospital up the road, NHS in the Scottish highlands for hospital walk-ins is normally around 90 minutes, a short wait, but they got me through in 5 minutes. Turns out this tooth abscess that wasn’t taking to the medication my dentist gave me was going septic and I could die in a few days, so I got taken to the city hospital a couple hours away. The hospital in the city wondered why I waited 36 hours and I told them “my dentist said to finish this prescription over the next 5 days then get back in touch, I phoned them 3 times within the 36 hours when symptoms worsened but they just dismissed my concerns and symptoms and told me to finish my meds, then they might see me”, the city hospital were really angry because it was just so negligent, the dentist had seen my face swelling up and dismissed me with pills. The city hospital saved my life, the cost however was losing all of my top teeth (31 and have dentures to replace all my top teeth) and suffering facial nerve damage to the swollen side. This was 6 years ago and that side of my face still doesn’t have any feeling and thankfully because I’m registered as permanently disabled, I got my dentures free through the NHS so I can have a normal life. Now my story isn’t a case of being the “tough guy”, but it is about how dangerous sepsis is, the city hospital were the ones who told me a couple more days and I’d die because of sepsis poisoning if I’d decided to take the meds for 5 days and not do anything else. The hospital was angry on my behalf because I had phoned the dentist 3 times in that 36 hours about how my symptoms were worsening and they just shrugged me off and told me “the pills could take some time to work”, thing was if I had followed those instructions I wouldn’t have had that time, I’d have just died. Sepsis is truly terrifying, and honestly losing my top teeth and getting dentures in exchange for getting to live? I was happy to pay that price. I shouldn’t have had to pay that price because my dentist was just extremely negligent and didn’t care about NHS patients (state/government benefits patients). Have since moved to the same city the hospital is at and found a dentist who deals with both NHS patients and private, same level of care, same level of professionalism, same level of respect, only difference obviously is I won’t access the expensive cosmetic surgeries and I’m okay with that. Dentist knows the whole story and he was angry, he went on a rant about how I could’ve died from sepsis and how he’s shocked a dentist could be so negligent and flippant with my life. Sepsis is a true horror in this world.

I happen to know the exact stretch of 394 he spoke of in the first story. The lights right there can legitimately be a 5plus minute wait easily. And don't ask me how I know but right there by that two light stretch there are A WHOLE LOT of actual literal crack houses and as of late meth has only just started to be prevalent in Chicagoland but particularly in that specific stretch of the far far south burbs( Beecher, Sauk trail, Crete, and the heights), and right along that expressway stretch with the long lights you're going to find a whole video worth of @letsread wild interactions
