The daughter ended up in an institute because of everything that happened to her as a child, instead of prison. They're both dead now. The first story is a little inaccurate. I’m from Orlando and currently live there and remember when this happened. Me and my daughter rode this ride together maybe a month before this happened and it’s a great ride but The young man who died did exceed the weight requirements. It’s reported that He had also been denied from rides earlier that day. It was complete negligence on behalf of the staff. The harness that goes over your shoulder never clicked down and the staff didn’t completely check it. That ride was fairly new and so was the other attractions around it. Remember to always double check your harness and straps yourself.

The kid who fell off the Free Fall ride at Icon Park was a 383-lb 14-year-old who was almost 100 pounds over the ride's weight limit. Did he, his parents, and the ride operators not see that he was grossly outsized for the accommodations as he was trying to settle in? He never should have gotten on that ride in the first place. So an otherwise safe and thrilling ride was closed and demolished because of one negligent fatality in which the victim was not entirely blameless. Many if not most amusement park injuries and fatalities are caused by guests behaving improperly, oftentimes deliberately defeating restraints and standing up during a ride. Weight[/size] limits, rider rules of conduct, and safety restraints must be respected and employed diligently to reduce the likelihood of catastrophe.
@SneakySalaXander3 ай бұрын
The victim was entirely blameless because he was a fourteen year old. A fourteen year old who initially tried getting off the ride, but the operators decided to offer using extenders instead of simply allowing him off. Even if he’d begged to stay on, it still would not be his fault, as the decision would not be up to him. He was a CHILD who did not have the true knowledge to know just how dangerous something like this is. He was merely following advice of adults who were supposed to be following regulations, and never did. It is in no way a CHILD’S fault that GROWN ADULTS were negligent. As for his parents, they aren’t at fault because they weren’t even there. He was there with friends. The operators and the park are 10000% responsible in Tyre’s death, which was precisely what was uncovered in the investigation. Tyre’s death was not the only violation. Tyre’s death wasn’t the sole reason FreeFall was closed. It was the fact they were even using extenders in the first place. It’s the fact they allowed multiple people to use them, knowing it was unsafe. Tyre’s death was simply the thing that got them caught.

Hello my amazing Let’s Read peeps, much love from Colorado!!!!
@baileymoran85852 жыл бұрын
I kind of understand the idea that negligence is easier to process than done unavoidable fate. It can be avoided in the future. There’s a source where you can direct your anger. It’s hard when it’s some random occurrence where everyone followed procedure, because it can happen over and over. It can happen to you, or someone you love, and nobody can stop it. I’ve dealt with things that were my fault, or clearly the fault of other parole’s mistakes easier than the things I’ve experienced that just happen at random, with no way to stop them. I rarely flip out in a crisis except for the time that a natural disaster hit, and the time my small intestine ruptured. Those were acts of nature. They could theoretically happen again in my life, to me or someone else.

Story 1- The park employee that strapped the kid into the ride was on day 3. I believe he/she was left to figure it out on their own. Didn't want to say "no" to a 14 year old who weighed something like 300lbs. They felt bad and didn't appreciate how serious the height/weight limits were. Made a dumb "it shouldn't be that much of a big deal" decision on the fly when they should never have been running that stage of the ride by themself. Horrible situation that got that poor boy killed. It was not a veteran employee trying to make money for the company. Even worse. Undertrained employee with his death on their hands. Feel HORRIBLE for all involved. Poor kid.
