Christmas Lights in York 🎄 | City Centre Walk 2020

Merry Christmas! We've already taken a walk around the city centre of York, but this time, join me for an evening stroll through this historic city as we marvel at its beautiful Christmas light displays.
On the way, we'll learn a little bit about the history of Christmas in York, and how the city was one of the first places to celebrate Christmas in Britain, with Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking festivals in the city all playing a role in the evolution of the holiday that we know today.
As we walk around York with the sun setting, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Coppergate Square, All Saints' Church, Parliament Street, St. Sampson's Square, Kings Square, The Shambles, Shambles Market, Coney Street, the Christmas tree at St. Helen's Square, St. Helen's Church, Mulberry Hall, The Belfrey, York Minster and Bootham Bar.
A side note: I'm really sorry for the often shaky video quality of this walk! I'm still a bit of a beginner when it comes to night filming, but I'll keep doing my best to improve so that I can bring you more great night walks in the future :)

Nice Christmas walk around the city of York. The Christmas lights looking very beautiful. Can't wait to see more. In canada we having lots of snow Christmas time. 😀
