Also, speaking of underrated musical things, Train's "Drops of Jupiter" is such an underrated masterpiece of a song.

@bmusar Most people know the chorus, the sing along part. The verses get complicated. You can see Mayer lose his place around 5:10. "It landed foul on the grass. The players tried for a forward pass, with the jester on the sidelines in a cast..." John chunked that phrase. Absolutely no shame in that. As Dave said, it's a beast.

@@bce3210idk. I feel like people his age grew up hearing this all the time. I’ve sung this in the car thousands of times with my mother and even my grandparents. Maybe he didn’t know it well but I think a lot of people can sing every word because it is that iconic. 😊

My mom, who has never met John Mayer but knows how much he means to me and his impact on my musicality, got worried about this man, and I will never forget that level of empathy and kindness.
