It's just so hard to match John's feel. He just makes everything flow. Other guitarist had some good licks, but you could tell he wasn't totally locked in comparatively.

The pink guitar is John Mayer's signature guitar. It is the PRS ( Paul Reed Smith) Silver Sky, JM signature model guitar in the shade Roxy Pink. The green guitar is John's PRS Silver Sky SE model in the shade Evergreen. My son bought a version of the Silver Sky guitar when they first came on the market, he loves the guitar and says it is the easiest playing guitar he ever owned. Kudos to John for designing a phenomenal guitar.

Just goes to show you tone is all in the hands and fingers. John Mayer makes that 80s metal shred guitar sound like a Strat! Wonderful vocals by Alex 23 - what a soulful voice he's got!
