Mayer is a guitar maestro, and has produced acoustic rock, pop, blues, blues rock. And has a very great style of singing. In my opinion, as a guitarist and a musician, John is better than Ed. I'm not hating on Ed lol, he is talented, he can sing, from singing on the streets to singing on concerts. He has produced cachy music that has caught the attention of many people. He is no doubt good, but for me, John Mayer is better.

Still feel like a man? With a pink guitar? Only John. He's great! A funny dude, man. I really respect him for the "humble up" regarding ego. I can understand how a person can get caught up in that illusion. What a great, sometimes underrated (in certain circles) guitar player. A monster player! Is that Isaiah Sharkey? Another example of a very intelligent and deep artist. John surrounds himself with so much soul, on that stage and everywhere else in his art. The world is a better place because of Johns heart.
