One thing I would like to add to the dialogue of sprinting and running is this. While you are walking you can look around and enjoy the view. While you are sprinting everything is a blur and you have a tunnel vision. Walking allows us to see the beauty in full display that God has put together for you.

This is my whole Life I’m a conversation 😢. I started out sprinting like crazy and everyone was loving it and cheering me on and although I felt the pressures it made me so proud and puffed up to be moving ahead, experiencing presence and presents that many have never had! I’m sure you can guess that I got tired and distracted and before long fell and didn’t even know what happened. To make it worse I was offended by others who were seemingly catching up and passing me that I started throwing a tantrum with God. Listen! The Lord had to show me where I had landed and gently walked me back into a slow paced race. 😭 I don’t even know anything right now. I’m just going. Thanks men of God for this
@tiad.91428 ай бұрын
Yes this is powerful bc I feel like my life was about to go this way. I hear people saying “you’re 10x!!!” And it makes me feel good and like I’m proving that I’m moving for the Lord, but this is a sign!!! And I am thankful that you are now WALKING with the Lord and not sprinting ❤the scriptures never say to run with the Lord but to WALK with Him. I never fully realized that before!!

This is so timely it can only be God's providence. The past couple weeks I was lamenting to God about how He allowed me to delude myself into thinking I was on the right path. I was honest with Him about how it had shook my faith + trust. And I kid you not, I truly had been acting angsty. So when I heard Preston say that in the opening prayer it literally stopped me in my tracks. Thank you good Father for hearing, seeing, and responding to me.

I needed to hear this message. I been wanting to work on my life plan and have been feeling an urgency to get it done and stressing about it but I felt the Spirit keep telling me that I just need to slow down. Now I realize the urgency is coming from what the world says to do. I can chill and trust God to help me do my life plan and be comfortable knowing my plan doesn't need to be perfect because it's all His will anyways. He'll lead me down the right path.

As I was watching this I felt the Holy Spirit remind me of the times that I've said a "Jonah" no, and other times when I've given a Moses "no". Sometimes life seems slow until Abba makes thing SUDDENLY speed up. I feel like I've stumbled SO MUCH this year. And yet His words to me are never, you suck. Instead it's more like, "come on, kid, let's have a chat." I can learn so much from Tim about what it means to be more self-aware. I feel that in the past year I've learned that what He cares about the most is my heart. My attitude as I am obedient to whatever thing He's leading me to do. Thanks for sharing this conversation.❤

This episode has me in tears. I have been trying to run my way through my healing. God pointed out to me that my lustful ways is preventing me from receiving what he has said yes to. The last month has been a disturbing hard look at my behavior and I realized I want to have control when I get what I asked for. My control issue has not had a good result for me because my heart is not in the right place. I am so glad that I am hearing Him. My pace is now going to be slower than molasses. I want Him more because He knows what best of me.

And as I sit over here wondering if the Lord is opening a door I've been waiting on for 5 years, now I'm more worried than ever that I'm maybe jumping ahead. I'm screaming, "Lord, if you are STILL saying not yet even though I think I want to do this thing and it's the first real chance like this I've had in all this time, then please shut the door! Yes, I'll hate it for a minute but seriously, your will, not mine." It's easier to say no to ideas of something, but it takes the Holy Spirit to help you clearly see you aren't meant to take that step yet. I'd rather just say a blanket yes to His will and pace beforehand, and then He can decide for me please when the various opportunities come, even if I pout at the decision.

Oohh how I needed to hear this tonight. I am 35 with a 15 year old. Last year my life was out of my control. My son was diagnosed with Leukemia. Thankfully he is cancer free this year. I've been trying to get my life back in my control but I've been depressed and lost. Today I relinquish "my control" and allow God to control the things in my life because I'm tired of trying. I'm giving a stumbling yes to God today. I NEED GOD to order my steps. My steps have led me to sorrow EVERYTIME and I'm TIRED! I JUST WANT TO BE IN GOD'S WILL FOR ONCE AND STAY IN HIS WILL...NO MORE DETOURS OF DISOBEDIENCE! Please keep in you alls prayers.
