Papua new guinea is one of the most interesting countries in Asia. People there look like they have African features but are actually almost completely different and independent of them and have the most interesting unique culture. The island of New guinea might be one of the most opossing islands on earth with the very very very different Indonesian side. You can cross the same island by a few dozen kilometers and have people that look like they came from opposite sides of the earth. What a cool place.

What you mean by African is Austronesian ethnicity. Similar to aboriginals of Australia. It's really cool that Maori of New Zealand and Aboriginals of Australia are completely unrelated. The Pacific islands are so sparse that they can be living on nearest island from each other without a single drop of blood being mixed

Whenever visiting a new place, it's always fun to ask locals about the best food. Speaking from experience, proud locals love to show you the food and culture they grew up with. Like, i told my American boyfriend about Gouda cheese and how good it is. Literally the next day, his workplace started selling it. It made me so happy to see him enjoying the Gouda cheese. So yeah. Always ask the locals if you're not sure what to eat.
