For some reason the algorithm decided to stop putting your stuff in my feed for a while, but now I’ve got a bunch to probably binge!

I was just wondering when your next video would drop the other day. Your content never ceases to entertain and inspire! I find myself drawn to timbre and texture far more than melody when it comes to modular, and your approach and style lends to that in spades. I went a little crazy when I started with modular and have a huge case of kit, so I give you major kudos for being so focused on the 2 case layout you've zeroed in on.

I appreciate the kind words. I’ve been unfortunately busy the past few months with work, so my uploads here have slowed down a bit - but I’ve still got lots planned

I couldn’t understand what you were saying at the end there with all of the FXs. Can you shed some light on that? Also, it’s funny you brought up the Lyra-8. I’ve been thinking of selling mine with the same idea in mind (trying to recreate it in eurorack). Mainly because I don’t use gear that’s not in my eurorack case.

for sure. Instruo's Lubadh outputs a clock based on the length of the loop you've recored, of which you can even choose a division to easily get 16th notes that are in line with the loop. This is great since I don't really have a traditional clock and I tend to just hit the record button manually, so having an easy way to get other parts of the case to be in sync with the loop is nice. Miso Cornflakes doesn't have that, but I wish it did. You can re-trigger the playing of the currently recorded buffer with a trigger to clock it, but it cant clock other things. A minor annoyance

@@thismeanswarbasse ah- I was wondering if this was going to replace Ludbah. I see it was still in the case. Do you have a use for both?

@@JonnyPez yeah I think so. Weirdly enough I’ve been wanting to create another Lubadh preset that has the play & record head the way it used to work in v1, so I could live record in and have it play back automatically in reverse or something else. I know they can be a bit redundant but so were beads and lubadh, and I found usefulness from them side by side as well. Most of the time I use Lubadh as kind of a staging area, so I’ll record into it and then manipulate that loop to how I want and use it as the sound source for the rest of the case. That then makes the clock out really useful there. I didn’t show it in this video, but you can put cornflakes into a live effect mode and continuously update its buffer to make a weird granular harmonizing effect that I like a lot. That was one of my main uses for beads, so this is pretty similar but with the addition of internal harmonizing too.

@@thismeanswarbasse Have you looked into the Lyra8-FX module? Seems right up our alley.

I don't know actually. I purchased it new, but its worth double checking...

@@thismeanswarbasse I just remember seeing somewhere that people had difficulty updating firmware on the module…..so I never updated mine. I am probably missing out on some features, but I prefer a bowl of cornflakes over a brick lol.
Fantastic granular synthesis with Miso Cornflakes
