I feel like this specific challenge would have been better for a week; something longer than a day. I understand the point of the series, but to fully explore something like vegan eating, I feel like a more immersive experience would be more beneficial
@MadameUniverse5 жыл бұрын
I also think that would be a great idea since you can have so many variations with different food and meals, especially for vegetarians and vegans (what many people think there are no variations and fast foods but you can surely enjoy some cupcakes, pizza and burgers while staying plant based) and you would also greatly experience how easy it gets with the time to not want to eat meat, cheese and dairy that much... at least that was my experience going plant based for 13 months :)

I thought Merle gave the best advice, ever. None of the sometimes confronting "vigilante vegan" (y'all know the type of person I'm talking about) advice one gets sometimes, but just a really nice, casual approach for someone who's interested, like Kelsey was for this video. As Kelsey said, a lot of us just think salad=greens, but if going vegan - or, really, just health-conscious - time to change it up and think salad="eat the rainbow"! Get that multi-coloured veggie goodness into ya!

Especially being in LA, a good thing to keep in mind that you can probably find vegan soondubu (순두부). For the most part, omitting all the meat/seafood add-ons, soondubu as a base soup dish is actually vegan so long as the broth wasn't made with anchovies. It's actually pretty easy to make at home since you can buy packaged soft tofu in any Korean market

This was a fun video to watch! I’ve got food sensitivities to a lot of vegetables, but I try to limit how much meat I have in my diet for environmental and moral reasons. I feel like eventually I’ll likely end up gradually switching my diet to more vegan options when I can find more and more tasty substitutes for what I currently eat (that my stomach will actually accept lol). So it’s interesting to learn about different vegan options and think about how what I could incorporate into my meal plan.

Eating out was difficult so I had to think ahead a lot more. But other than that, was really positively surprised and incorporated a lot of plant based options into my diet.

I watched The Game Changers and found it really interesting from a science point of view, so I am now day 10 of a plant based diet and it's going pretty well. Unfortunately I am intolerant to soya so I can't eat 90% of the vegan meats now :( more companies need to branch out into pea protein etc.
@marley76595 жыл бұрын
I understand you well. I am intolerant to gluten. The best vegan meats are made from vital wheat gluten. It makes me upset. I have found many different recipes I can try at home. Can you eat other beans without issue? You could try making your own vegan meats at home. If that interests you...

Great video, sometimes you just don't realize the amount of vegan food there is out there. i love salads but ever since having the gastric bypass i can't eat it so much now because what stomach i do have left can't digest it which is frustrating. Take care of yourself we, all love your videos but we don't want you burning yourself out over making them, it will just give us something to look forward to when you drop a video.
