Even more poetic is that Bradley is the one responsible for the Ishvalan genocide, since being Fuhrer he was the one who ordered it. These two men, one who discarded his name for abandoning his faith and another who don't even know his name to begin with. One who was so filled with misguided self-righteous Wrath but let it go for the greater good when he realised he was wrong, and one who is created to be Wrath itself as a chess piece finally finding peace when he can finally be selfish and exert his own will at the end. Scar had every legitimate reason to take his Wrath out on Bradley, but now is fighting Bradley not for the sake of revenge but for the good of others. The entire poetic justice in this fight simply transcends what words can be used to describe.

It is not just the moon. Remember all the drawings that have been shown throughout the show? Depicting both the moon and the sun. Alchemy is huge on duality and when they become one, the truth is found. Sun and moon, Male and female, heaven and earth, father and mother. The Alpha and the Omega. What father used was the eclipse, when the sun and the moon became one.

@@tekbox7909 No, it is totally about dualities. Or at least, it is not about opposites. That's the entire point of the brother's training on the island from Izumi. They may think they are apart from everything else, individual existences whether similar or distinct from each other. But "one is all and I am one" or whatever the quote was. The totality of existence is truly one continuous and harmonious whole; the sheer idea things weren't one from the start is preposterous, because that's the way of the world.

Not entirely clear on the meaning of duality might apply still but the focus definitely is about opposite things that can't be combined. the perfect being is both male and female for example. In the show yes all things are part of one big whole but that isn't specific to dualities as it applies to everything and the one is all and all is one isn't exclusive with the concept of opposites becoming one.

Father already says what his goal was when he says to God, “I will no longer be bound to you and your rules.” That’s what he’s wanted during the whole show: to escape his flask and be free to do whatever he pleases, however he pleases. Absorbing God is the only way to escape all of his limitations and become unlimited.

I love how completely that one line encapsulates Fathers desires. "I will no longer be bound to you or your consequences!" But he fails to see that even the God he strives to acquire is bound to the laws. The truth as shown in this show might actually be the most bound to the laws, as he is the one who understands them the most. That understanding gives him the most room to move in, but it also makes the cage all the clearer. And Father fails to see it.

The hilarious thing is that god has limitations and rules he adheres to too. He is still part of the greater laws of the universe, the greater flow, at most there to prevent the flow from going backward when someone arrogant enough, crazy, or grief stricken to try human transmutation shows up. So many fail because _too much time has passed_ when they try to bring someone back. Time too, is an Invisible ingredient and part of the flow.

Scar's character development is one of the best in all of media. Father's plan coming to fruition was such a hype moment. The first time I watched this I got chills.

Mmhm. His character is great. The truth is, at the start of the show we're told "he's a bad guy, he's a serial killer". The truth is he's more doing the right thing than even Ed and Al (who are unknowingly working for the antagonists), and is hunting down the corrupt state alchemists. We don't have the full picture of course, and neither does Scar, but he's almost more in the right. Love him and Roy both. The complicated secondary protagonists.

Its a small thing, but I've always loved Hohenheim and May's interactions in these last few episodes, especially given that before this, they've literally never met. May's just some girl who burst through the ceiling with his sons, and Hohenheim immediately starts looking out for her. I just find that heartwarming. 🥰🥰

Something I'd never fully considered before is that anger is often a response to outside threats and is an emotion geared towards standing one's ground and self-preservation. It makes total sense that Wrath has 'never felt so complete' as the moment when his *only* goal is to fight for his life in a pure combat situation where his rank, societal perception, and other outside factors are completely irrelevant.

The center of the circle is that black blob that expanded from underground. Anyone who was inside of it was spared from being swallowed into Father as a soul. So a good amount of people were safe and witnessed the massacre of Central.

I think you might really enjoy Code Geass, it has similar themes of war and rebellion as well as questioning the morality of "the ends justify the means" that AoT has. A lot of people also consider it to have one of the best endings in anime.

I feel like Father was telling the military guys the truth about them surviving the transmutation if they were in the center. So they would survive, then finish the mannequins, then use the mannequins as a conquering army to take over the rest of the world. (Father could probably take over the world single handedly with his newfound powers, but he likes using others.)

I disagree that Bradley was being overconfident. Last episode he basically asked who's going to step up to kill him, knowing he's on his last legs, and with the 5 candidates with Father, he's basically good to die. I think he knew what his skill level was, how much damaged he'd taken, and knew that if Scar was to kill him, he'd have to do better than those initial attacks

8:07 Wrath was practically a slave his entire life. But in this moment, he is only fighting for himself under no one's orders. The description of the word 'Wrath' indicates unhinged emotions. This could means that the shackles of responsibility have been removed. That what Bradley meant by "I guess you can say I've finally arrived".

It's only dangerous in the time leading up to and the time right after the total eclipse(especially right after when your eyes are adjusted to the darkness). The total eclipse itself(which it was very clearly shown to be when she stopped using the eclipse glasses) is safe.

I know it's been so long since you guys watched this but I love this show too much not to comment and clarify some things: The portal that opens up right above Amestris is the result of Father using the amalgamation of the country's people life energy and the colliding energy/force from the 5 sacrifices personal portals to manifest this Artificial Truth Gate into reality (from which there's not a Truth inside, but himself manifested as a colossal being), by mimicking a portal he was able to pull what's outside (just how the portal usually pull people with its black hands). The second portal is the Truth Portal from the Earth as a system/life form, he had to wait for the eclipse because only when the Moon (feminine) meets the Sun (masculine) you get the perfect being, aka truth or god. This transmutation circle in Amestris is also, in a way, a Human Transmutation Circle - that's why Hohenheim is a sacrifice, when it was done in Xerxes they opened their Portals, just like a standard human transmutation would -, and by meeting the right requirements (this circle is far more complex + having the eclipse) he was able to open the portal of earth. He used the artificial portal to pull the earth's portal and absorb it. It's also a visual representation of what's happening: a person's portal is usually in another dimension, the Earth's Portal wouldn't manifest on Earth, but at the sky, since Truth is also God, it's fitting to show it on Heaven. Bring God down to Earth, and swallowing god were also terms used early on in the show, so yeah, a hell of a pay off.

So y’all were super close, because it’s an eclipse it’s not just the moon it’s the sun and moon together fully aligned which when we consider the references to god throughout the series such as the ruins in xerxes, theres a lot of references to the sun and moon. Personally the way I imagine it, if father is using souls and the planet as a means of harnessing energy to get big enough to swallow god, the sun and moon are the celestial bodies that create and sustain life on the planet and would be huge sources of energy if successfully consumed.

I have quite a few anime's that I think you'd both enjoy! -Ouran High School, Host Club. Eng Dub. A classic, has top tier dubbing, Kenny may also recognise a few voices -Soul Eater, Eng Dub. Also a classic anime that everybody has seemed to forgotten. The world building is unique and the music slaps -My hero Academia. Eng Dub. This one has probably already been requested enough but, the eng dub is top tier, and again, the music and story slaps -Fairy Tail. You guys would just like this bc of the magic system in place, and y'all would def Bi panic often -One Piece, Eng sub. An oldie, but a goodie! You guys would love the character designs in this anime, the music, and the comedic moments is worth it. -Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss. Watch Hazbin hotel's pilot episode first before Helluva Boss. You can also watch Vivziepop's music video called, "Addict" which explains two main characters in Hazbin Hotel's pilot episode's backstory! Hazbin Hotel has been confirmed to be releasing starting Summer of this year as well~ -Kill la Kill. An anime about women embracing their beauty by stripping down to nothing. Aka, I'm trying not to spoil the plot with describing it, I promise it's worth it tho! Kenny's gonna love Gamagori He's voiced by Patrick Seitz~ Sorry for the list of cool anime's/toons to watch list lol. I thought I'd list off a few qualities as to why I think you two would absolutely, love them! Plus, hardly anybody these days reacts to shows such as Soul Eater or Ouran, or Kill la Kill(the last one has a ton of nudity, which is understandable given the new rules these days for youtube.....) Really enjoyed your FMA:B reaction in the Eng Dub! Very few watch the eng dub version, which sucks bc the eng dub is better imho

What's interesting is if Father removed all of the "Seven Deadly Sins" from within himself, why would he be portrayed as evil? Does he not have any virtue within himself? I mean there's Faith, Hope, Chairty, Prudence, Justice, Temperance and Fortitude. Yet, Father doesn't display any of these qualities. He actually only displays the very qualities he is said to have removed from within himself.

quick calc just on the blue supporters alone which is tier 3, in aus currency they're making around $63,000 a month which is excluding all tier 2 and 1 supporters. they have roughly 1900 tier 3 supporters out of the listed 2400 on patreon so id say at least 70k a month total which is about 17,500 a week or in us $12,200 a week this absolutely is nothing against them, i love them and their reactions and am glad for their success but god fkn damn if it isn't super disheartening to just exist when u work 5 days a week to get paid average of aus $1000 a week or in us $670 a week

There are plenty of motifs and foreshadowing about the sun and the moon, and specifically a lion eating the sun from the ruins of Xerxes. It's more thematic than literal, in my mind. Father isn't a human, and so his plan not making literal sense to the audience is fine with me. He basically does some God magic nonsense. What a bastard!
