It's interesting to have a protagonist that isn't a teenager for once. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's refreshing to see a progtagonist who isn't having world-ending issues while they should still be in school.

I love you recognized how much the little girls reception of Kafka matters. She doesn't get a cameo in season 1 after this appearance, but she's my favorite cameo character in the manga and I hope that season 2 keeps her around.

Kaiju that have the a Fortitude of over 8.0 are considered serious city destroying threats. And unlike in most media they don't receive symbolic names in this series, they are simple assigned numbers based on WHEN they appeared. So, because Kafka has a toughness on 9.8, that makes HIM a "Number", just like the 7 OTHER city destroyer's that came before since this system was put into place. And every other Kaiju that comes after Kafka will be #09 through, I don't know, #99.

Just like in video games, they make armor and weapons from their body parts. Those suits they wear that give them super strength are made from skin and muscle fibers. And even their guns, they don't fire bullets: You`ll see later that they have some kind of...cellular structure inside a cylinder that "energizes" their shots?

Kaiju do not have to be massive to be Kaiju Kai = Strange, mystery, apparition, spectre Jū = Beast Large Kaiju are Daikaiju

I like that the kaiju form is an insta kill in 90% of the situations, but the series makes it that using it is extremely risky, dangerous to Kafka or others, and many other situations you'll see later.

Kinda like how Saitama is the solution to all problems in One Punch Man, but the series still finds ways to make bad situations by keeping him away from the fight in one way or another.

the Number is for Kaijus that extraordinary abilities and the ones they want to achieve more info on, they have use of the bodies of kaijus and need to know which they can fully destroy and which they don't
