If I'm not mistaken, 'Murderous Intent' was a skill he unlocked previously that reduces the target's abilities/stats. The whole wave scene is likely a representation of how the assassin is being dragged down and overwhelmed by the ability, since it's slowing him down and reducing his ability to react and respond.

You're correct. He got that ability after killing Hwang Dungsuk and his team as a reward for the first "Defeat the enemies" quest that threatened his life if he didn't kill them

In the web novel, one of the prisoners was actually still alive and playing dead. Jinwoo noticed so he forced him to go into the boss room alone and just sat there as he was killed because of what he’d done

It's quite interesting that a couple of days after the death of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragonball, this episode aired that featured a reference to Goku's iconic jumping.

Quite a few anime that came out this year have made references to Dragon Ball in Toriyama's honor. Only other one I know of is from a romcom anime, where the homeroom teacher was wearing Goku's colors. (The anime is The Dangers in my Heart, in case you were wondering.)

Murderous Intent is a Skill that Jinwoo acquired after completing the quest to kill that first group of guys that tried to kill him in that dungeon. The effects are it can paralyze enemies with intense fear, this isn't a guaranteed effect it depends on the enemy, but it also lowers their stats by 50% for a minute, which is HUGE. The visual of like the water rushing out and slowing the assassin down is the representation of his agility tanking suddenly, and in the opening where he couldn't move from the fear effect, Jinwoo got in a killing blow, as it also disrupted his Stealth Skill. Which Jinwoo got a rune for. Handy.

So the water was likely a visual representation of how he felt it more difficult to move after losing half of his agility

Why did they cut out the part where 1 prisoner survived and jinwoo just drags him to be killed by the boss? That would have been cool to see. It may be a small difference, but I wonder how much darker the sceen would be if it wasn't cut out.

I love how last episode Jinho was gassing Jinwoo up about how he must be A rank or maybe even higher, only to here have Jinwoo see an A rank after fighting a B rank and go "Nah, I'd lose". Its funny but also plays into what Jinwoo said as he saw Jin-chol here how he could not tell how strong he was before because he just wasn't good enough yet. There are imperfect narrators in the story and it means you can't assume things will be one way or another ahead of time.

I find it interesting that the theme that is playing in the background is the same slightly creepy theme that was played for the "god" in the double dungeon. It was introduced as praise for the "god," but plays many time when he is dominating.

This episode is absolutely amazing. This is why I love animation. If used right it tells the story soooo much better than live action. That whole murderous intent scene. I think the whole live action remake trend is completely backwards. They need to do animated remakes instead. The show Horymia has a scene pretty early on, where they show a heart pang, without whitout her showing it on her face or narrarating it, or even aknowledging it. Its so excelent. Its not just action and fight scenes that are better in animation. The scene im referencing is after the leading lady and the lead boy have been hanging out a few times, and the boy comments to her in passing that he was talking to this girl. There kneeling across the coffee table from eachother. The scene, the backround and everyone dissapears for a second with only the side profile of the girl remains with a white background. Then there is a sound and you see a plume come out of her back like a bullet went theough her heart, and out her back. Its not blood, and its clear what it means, and is an amazing storytelling method.
